Hey so I'm not sure anybody would know how to answer this, but how important is the difference between 60 and 120hz for a display in gaming?

I have a 4K OLED but it is capped at 60hz, and I intend to get a PS5 Pro but want to make sure the lack of 120hz doesn't harm my experience too much

Well - 60fps is a gold standard
A nice balance between smoothness and grunt power required to run it

120 fps is obviously smoother and a bit more responsive, BUT
1 - this of course increases games system requirements
A game that runs perfectly at 60 for you might actually be orbiting around 70-80 fps and then being capped
So you wouldn’t hit 120 without toning down graphical settings (or at all)

And 2 - some games might not even support high fps at all and either be hard locked to 60 or even 30 OR get some brand new exciting bugs at higher frame rates

So - in short
High refresh rates are cool, but not necessary, and they come with some caveats
Depends on a game and platform

Books, research I guess. I don’t suggest using Hades and Hades II as your only sources, as some of the stuff was switched around to avoid things like inc3st (might not be the only thing they changed, I’m not sure 100%) screeching-0wl on Tumblr has quite a bit of information on their blog that might be an easy place to start with rather than just hopping on google

But the games definitely give you a just of the whole thing if you don’t want to rush to research

Have you tried downloading the ps4 version instead?

And I can’t think of any differences between those versions

Apparently there is no cross gen data saving

So if u have a ps4, and play any on it, you'll have to start fresh on ur ps5 unless u download the ps4 version
