Yahtzee doesn't really grasp the nuances of gameplay (he sets it on the easiest difficulty, and then basically complains that it's too easy because stats and items don't matter), but he compliments the writing - and it's mighty hard to squeeze a compliment out of that bloke.

Before I started playing pyre the only thing I knew was that there was a scene where you could remove his mustache and I was totally going to do so but once I was in the game I...couldn't. Probably because for me that happened pretty late.

The official word on Rukey's 'stache is that the team was arguing over whether he should or shouldn't have it, and ended up leaving it to the players.
I'd imagine they just, only decided to use one art asset from before they made that a choice.

Volfred is dang hard to liberate, because the Sap is a tricky class to master, and you don't have much room to enlighten him enough. You basically have to do all wins with Volfred from the moment he joins Nightwings.

On my first playthrough I lost to the Essence because I'm a sap and let them win so Tamitha could be free because Pamitha asked me to.
I got through half of a True Nightwing playthrough and then never really got back around to it. I really ought to do that. It's the only achievement I don't have in Pyre.

In the past Readers wouldn't have been uncommon, but it's likely that for the last couple centuries the traditions of the Rites were passed down orally. You don't have to be able to read the books to use them in the Rites, only to use them to coordinate others
The Nightwings needed a Reader because all of them were new and they had nobody to teach them or pass down the traditions of the Rites

Supposedly you can outmanoeuvre them with Gilman, or outrun them with Mae - but it's one hell of an uphill battle.
I would bring a Demon or a Sap to play the defence there.
But Pamitha can still banish them on the defensive duty quite nicely.

The Demon is gone and the sap, well, I'm puzzled by it. I'm not sure how to play it.

He can form quite an enormous defence perimeter around the Pyre, or he can use Sapling to secure the Orb before the opponents get to it.
If you do manage to get the sap across the field with some blinking, he also dishes out quite a dousing.

He seem kind of slow to me. I like Pamitha more. She's slightly faster and can perform more duties. She adapts easier.
I usually have more aggressive playstyles in games.

The Commonwealth was based on good principals that were interpreted differently over time and lead to what it was through its own people. That's what I remember thinking anyway. Been a while since I've played or read it. *According to the wiki that seems to be the case.

Depends actually, if both sisters are liberated Pamitha stops the Harpy attack and they make up with eachother. It fits the theme that kindness begets kindness, to an extent

Everyone has their reasons, it's kind of up to the player to interpret who's more or less worthy. Definitely one of the best aspects

Idk, I always sort of. Didn't like that Pam's guilt over that ran so deep that she seems to think any punishment for her is justified
Just because it can happen and she's ok with it doesn't mean it's the best outcome
And I think that's again partly on the player to decide. A lot of the endings are presented rather neutrally
In general, everyone in the main cast Ends Up Ok (outside of a few specific Very Bad Things that can happen)
It's kinda on each individual to decide if that's something they're comfortable with tho, or if it's something they want for that character

Soliam, I usually use Volfred for Defense or passing the Cesetial Orb to others, because he'd always be pretty slow to gain entrance into an opposing pyre...even with his Wink, for some reason I found it difficult...I love his animation when he dives into the pyres, though 😄

@swift mango I mostly play Volfred as defense, but I scor a decent amount with him, too. I’ve found if you know your maps well you can usually get p. Far with Wink, at least enough for a solid toss if not a full dunking

Yeah pyre only has local co op meaning two people in the same room on the same console so what they do is take player 2 controller because the titans stars help player 2. Each player controls one team on either side of the field
