Use the sacred bond talisman so you get an even faster kamikaze tizo

On campaign is harder to do the full dream setup cuz it takes a while to max masteries but doing that also allows you to get the +10 dmg bonus after banishing

anything that helps with her mobility is great @foggy stratus
pamitha salute skill can be used to get jodi to the pyre in a second (add jodi's salute for the extra dmg if you have it)

pamitha's dash also pushes your teammates so can use her as a big aura barrier while you carry the orb

there's tizo portals (same deal as pamitha's salute) which along with the last right mastery it gives exiles inf stamina when going through the portal

lining the other team so you can rush one, regain stamina and keep going is also an option

I've seem people use the bands that go in pair, as if you have both exiles on your team they'll gain inf stamina at the start of a match

her defensive masteries to knock the orb from oponents with a jump are also fun and well extra pyre life is always nice

and the absolute niche tip
try the funny flying demons on the boat arena (basically jumping into the water pools at specific angles make you go flying, often landing next to the opposite pyre if done right)

Are readers "chosen" by the book or do they have to study it

and if the latter how do pages reveal themselves to the reader over time?

if anyone can anwser id rather not get something hand wavey like "its a game mechanic" cause im trying to work on an rpg campaign in this setting

My take on that is that any Reader can read the book, but to reveal the pages they have to understand the Rites themselves. Something like with exiles who do the Rites first hand - they have to either participate in the Rites or get a private lesson from someone who can explain the connection between the Rites and reality in order to get stronger

So as long as the Reader guides the exiles during a Rite (no matter if they themselves participate or not), they will understand/reveal more

In terms of game mechanic, the fact that the player cannot read the whole book from the beginning is to me a hint that it's absolutely pointless to read the book if you don't understand the core of it.
For example, there's a page about Khaylmer's Island that says that if the stars point that way, the rites will soon come to an end. What's the point for a Reader to understand that part if you can't actually understand that the stars are dying ?
The Book of the Rites isn't just any book and just reading it without understanding it's historical and mythological aspect is like reading complete gibberish, or something pointless to read anyways (which is to me the very reason for the stars to die during the game)

Volfred is pretty much ground control (and AI can get very confused while playing against him)
He is slow, yes, but you can build him to be a pretty good supporting character

This may have been asked recently but is there going to be any controller update for Pyre? I have a new controller (ps5 I think) and it doesn't work with the game. I mangled the last two rites stumbling over mouse and keyboard though I also haven't played in a while. Could be that.

Hey all I'm on my first Freedom battle of the entire game - I get to anoint 1 of 3, which seems to be my top 3 highest levelled...
I have to ask, even if it might be a bit of a secret, does this mean:

• I won't get to keep levelling them up?
• I won't get to use them again?
  Like clearly I have my character that I like the most for gameplay reasons and want them with me in the end game so, I just don't know what this means for the rest of the game
  Otherwise if I just continuously don't pick my strongest character, that feels weird too since they deserve it more than anyone lol
  So just trying to understand that

Also like, you know. If you like a character you want to see more of their story too, so this is weird and confusing even on the out of game front.
But of course I'm concerned about the ingame front too, like I said I don't want to be missing my strongest characters (or they failed to reach level5) for endgame boss battles ...right?

(like e.g. if suddenly the game flips at some point and switches my party with only those that were anointed or something, and I now lost all my favourite ones every time, that would be really awkward)

But like yeah I'm assuming since it's possible to lose all of these that it won't do that, so does that mean giving them freedom really means I won't get to play them anymore
(or they won't gain exp for a long time or something)

But yeah did want to share some thoughts as I play and you guys can watch on the analysis of the guy who hasn't seen through like all the chars all the strats all that yet

So yeah my choice is actually between Jodariel, Hedwyn, and Ti'zo

Ti'zo is my most used and seems to be the most busted unit, so I'm holding him for a while, he was planned to have a good chance at going all the way with

Pamitha also seems quite busted, so I'm holding her for a while too and I just like her

Rukey seems pretty good, not sure how far I was going to take him but I was thinking he has potential
so like my thought is that unless I'm trading scores which is not ideal the goal is to score multiple times, i do need to score 2 on 3 which means a team composition is at least 2 units that can actually score, usually take it all the way by themself because I don't see this as much of a team game, this is not like some passing centric game

So he can definitley do that, so what I haven't sorted out is the defensive end, getting the stops

Jodariel has huge presence but is slow and potentially a big target, I just went the +35hp route for the mathematics, but she's my main defender as of now so it was veryannoying that she won't get along with Pamitha because then I had to break up my team, so I went with Hedwyn on Defence in my last rite which is how he ended up in top 3

so I went the jump-kill tree with him, intending to play him on D until I find someone who's more of a dedicated Defender, like i think I saw footage that I do get someone who gets a summon, similar to that guy I versed last rite so I was thinking like that sort of thing

But eh given the conversations and what Hedwyn wants, and given that I didn't see him as some like gamechanger scaler and just my good enough D unit as of now, Hedwyn seems like the obvious pick for both gameplay and story for my first Anointment
