Since we got into it a bit on our 10th anniversary panel here at PAX yesterday -- I think many aspects of Transistor went through enough molding/shaping/changing through development that our terms to refer to them changed over time.
We discovered Red as a character even before we knew what she was going to be called. Some of the Camerata characters' names evolved, and two of them fused into one during dev (we had five in mind for the story at first before refining the story further). And the same is definitely true of Mr. Nobody.

I LOVE Royce!! He's such a great antagonist....<3 It really struck me when in my most recent playthrough (last week). In Portal 2, I as the player was afraid of Evil Wheately...but here, I was afraid of Royce for Red's sake--he represents, and wants, exactly what she does not; he doesn't even acknowledge "Mr. Nobody", when Red is walking over coals for his sake, and Royce doesn't even acknowledge him--and can't even hear him. Royce is...so chilling. As a player I love to hate his guts, but can also be very scared of him....

So red was being targeted/downloaded when mr nobody interrupted the process somehow
We aren’t really sure how it works but it seems like downloading someone completely takes time, which is why the cam where so careful about choosing their targets
Part of her( the biggest part, her voice) was transferred into the sword and stored until she joined it
End result was that boyfriend was absorbed (and his bio might have been messed up but I’m not sure if it was just like that before) and red was given admin access to the transistor, freeing the process

Transistor's soundtracks really take me to sleep though. However, it's what I love most about it - Red's humming goes along perfectly with the soundtracks, which when I always buy a game made from Supergiant Games, I expect no less then quality when it comes to soundtracks.

computers do tend to crash if you give them data they aren't expecting, or, say, no data when they are expecting data at all
i always figured it glitched out on trying to record his selections because he didn't have any, then 'factory-reset' and red ended up being the next to interact so she got given control of the dang thing

I also wonder if maybe the Boxer can hack or something? His function is Breach(), which means to get past security systems like hacking.

I played Bastion first because more reviews suggested it was better. Bastion ended up being a slog for me. I didn't get invested in the story, and combat felt unfulfilling.
Transistor on the other hand was absolutely amazing. I'm looking for more Transistor! Is there any word of a sequel with a continued story?

Bboy, I also agree that Transistor is a far better experience than Bastion. I don't understand why the consensus seems to be that Bastion is more resonant and impactful.
Everything about it strikes me as a lesser version of a similar game. The artwork isn't as polished, the gameplay isn't as creative, the story isn't as cohesive, etc. It's a great start for a studio, but I feel that Transistor is when Supergiant became obviously special.

it hardlocks your save, so the best way to play it is to start a new game and get to the motorcycles
and then you have to beat royce with the first 5 functions and nothing else

I think Royce would be a bit more mad that you can just jaunt through his barriers, which..well, makes him have to rush his dialogue because Red already made it to the Cradle in under a minute.
All I hear is “Welcome, welcome, well. Come on in.” , “Here’s the thing...” and “Transistor + Cradle = No more Process.”
Though about dragging the Transistor on the ground..I don’t think I’ve heard Royce mention anything about that or directly address it.
