Boatman I get, Originator tho requires a preeetty specific requirement in order to get said bonus and well, I am not going for a extra specific build in order to be able to consistently be able to hit enemies with a dual curse effect

Origination is a 50% global damage boost, the largest in the game, and every single god has a status effect tied to one of their core boons, it is incredibly easy to get two curses in your first two boons and never have to think about it for the rest of the run

It requires no specific building, just making sure you have two curses on enemies for massive damage

It's way way easier than it sounds

Strength is alot better than it sounds, you get almost as much effective hp with the damage resistance, but all healing is massively improved, and you can use the athena keepsake (which is one of the best) to get her boons without losing 3 dd's

Hey guys, i've not been playing long. About 5 days give or take, i am loving the game. I've managed to do both underworld on 16 fear, which i know is nothing, but if i CANNOT do the rivals fights. Even if i reduce the fear to just rivals so 2, what's going on, are they meant to be a lot more difficult?

Is it a good idea to max it for a new player or rather should focus on other weapons / aspects? I don’t like the staff

Both are fine, death gives more effective hp, but strength makes healing way stronger, so strength is better until high fear (50+)

But you can run death for safety if you want

When it runs off-screen, follow it and beat it up for big damage

When it summons red things from the ground, poke at it from range

arrival slam/shockwave, then it does the snapping combo, then it moves to one of two positions to charge up it's deathwave attack

the latter one is basically free damage for you since it just stays put to charge it up and it's dead easy to avoid

Had this one altar of the unseen where I got nearly everything and then spent like 20 seconds trying to hit this stupid sword that kept teleporting behind me (I had axe with 300 damage chop cause of fated list)

Hey all, new to hades 2 playing for the 1st time currently but I have 0 clue of what im supposed to do?
So when you first start your into fighting thats fine so i deid and went back to my "town"
In this town is there no map? ontop of that i just kept walking downwards until i got to the edge of the town where theres stairs going up thats blocked and stairs going down that says "go out"

I keep going out and i just keep fighting until i die? like is it just a nether ending walk of battling then pick a door way to go through until you die?

If im being honest I dont know if i would even go back to hade 1, all ive read is how much of an improvement hades 2 is but in the future if i ever do try hades 1 the downgrade wont put me off playing it, its just hades 2 was the thing that caught my attention

Raki seems cool but the crit chance feels so low that its irrelevant unless you're on a weapon that has some crit already

The ferret dodge is also low, but dodge is easier to get from other sources.

So you can stack it up to a meaningful amount more easily

The base crit chance is good because it's global crit% and crits are triple damage in this game. Also he marks enemies from time to time making them even more succeptible to crit

But for higher fears the blocks and dodge% from gale are better

I’m about ~65h into Hades II (~120 nights) and never played Hades I.

I’ve beaten Chronos 8 times and Typhon 5 times (just unlocked the spear, currently trying to beat Typhon “for real”), but I still feel like I don’t fully understand why some runs work and others completely fall apart.

This is my current Arcana setup (hope it’s readable):

• Is stacking max HP worth it, or is that a trap?
• Should I avoid minibosses early or try to fight everything?
