that's pretty solid! not a speedrun time or anything, but definitely good for your third win imo

with max vow of time you want to be <20 minutes, and you're within that time very cleanly, so timer is a great choice if you're adding fear for nightmare farming

you earn ||nighmare|| by defeating the right boss with the right weapon with x amount of fear or higher, so to earn the first few you just need one single vow on. hubris is very easy, menace is usually very chill, timer 1 is imo free for most players unless you're taking like 40 minutes in game time to clear a run (check your endscreens, in game time ≠ real time, the timer pauses a lot). return is imo pretty chill but some people hate it, wards feels free on some builds if you hit rapidly/multihit imo

Sure. It’s free to do it, and it slows down bad guys. Casts can give status, important for origination arcana which is basically mandatory, Zeus storm ring and Hestia fire ring in particular are really strong, I’ve won high fear riding a Zeus cast before. I’d also recommend if you’re on controller remap it so it’s on a shoulder button or back bumper if you have them, then just getting in the habit of hitting it every few seconds. It’s free to use and there’s several aspects that are cast based

it has much higher potential than they did in hades 1, where outside of stuff like crystal beam or trippy shot deliberate cast builds, or beowulf, you werent missing much by not paying attention to them at all. i still don't really omega cast much but someone else can overexplain that if they want

Ok so, the way scorch works is that it does 100 damage per second, and each scorch does one damage, so for example say you apply 50 scorch to an enemy, that will deal 50 damage, in 0.5 seconds

• apply scorch = put x stacks of scorch on an enemy
• every second, up to 100 stacks of scorch are consumed and converted into 100 base damage
• that base damage still benefits from damage% bonuses (like origination, furies, any olympian damage%), so your damage per second will almost always be higher than 100
• three boons change how this works a bit. 1) pyro technique makes scorch tick faster, so 100 scorch is consumed more quickly but if you can keep up your DPS get multiplied, 2) the demeter duo boon makes freeze detonate all current stacks of scorch for 2x damage, but you can't apply scorch for a bit afterwards, 3) the aphrodite boon makes scorch stacks no longer be consumed when dealing damage (if the enemy is weak), and has very good synergy with the other two boons mentioned here

but tldr applying scorch to an enemy adds it to a bank of DoT which ticks down, dealing damage in the process.
notably, scorch is one of the rare types of damage in the game which can't crit, and is also not affected by the boon "air quality"
