How does one beat (miniboss) ||charybdis?||
||They changed it’s attack pattern a couple patches before launch and now I keep getting whiped out by its intermission attack where it launches these pink projectiles that you can’t outrun and then they explode and swamp the screen with many more projectiles. I just died from taking 40damage in one second, there has to be something I’m missing here?||

The intended way is to dash through the projectiles just as they’re about to land, but you can cheese it by ||standing next to the crate on the right side of the arena and all of the projectiles will miss ||

If you drop reroll corner you can easily fit in whatever you want for both strength and death

Say, a bunch of online sources are saying that Star Dust costs 600 bones at the broker while I'm seeing it cost 1500 bones. Plus some of the Arcana upgrades being different such as Judgement requiring 20 Fate Fabric and 20 Moon Dust when some places online says it only require 10 Moon Dust or Chronos Sand.

First 12 hours behind me, 30 runs, got to last boss of underground for first time because i greed and go yolo so much but i need to say that Hades 2 has way better feeling of going dungeons and combo, just got 1250 dmg axe build and i was able to oneshot almost anything without armor. Act 3 and act 4 dungeons way better than in hades 1 where elisium and rats were so annoying. Happy to see so many new content and upgrades you can try. And very happy that Demeter is playable finally, ice goddess my beloved

the others are more hit or miss for me, hecate is great but niche, nemesis is fine but there are some better options, artemis is amazing but not great for new players, and then there are some good ones from characters you won't have met yet when you first start collecting keepsakes

hecate's is good, but it's mainly good if you're having issues running out of magick, which usually shouldn't be a problem early in the game...? getting a good "gain" boon for magick regen is enough for the most part
if you've run into boons that "prime" magick, I usually take hecate's keepsake if I'm in danger of priming out and having zero max magick

Hi guys I'm about 15 hours in with no prior knowledge except for playing H1.

I'm trying to understand the deal with Moon lady. Her Hex boons seem very powerful and I'm trying to understand the tradeoff. Like, should I be making sure to get her boon every run? It seems to be offered every run. What's the downside tho? They seem very powerful so the downside seems to be opportunity cost: less boons (as hers is 1 that is upgraded) and missing resources (choosing moon over coin).

So idk what's the deal with Moon? Her Hex powers feel very whacky (and I recently realised that Hecetes used all those hexes in her fight)

They are very powerful, they just require a lot of investment to be really good and worth taking over other builds, but you're never going to be worse off having it

second time = if the character offers boons during a run, you unlock a prophecy to take each of them once (useful for rewards)
chaos I think wants 3 gifts to get both prophecies
getting the incantation to see boon lists in the book of shadows iirc requires gifting chaos + most olympian gods at least once
some characters have specific unlocks locked behind relationship progress

beyond that it's just more dialogue + story, not an inherent gameplay benefit

Higher fear dds are super valuable when everything chunks you and tanking big hits like say chronos nuke means huge damage openings but strength is seen better lower fear since you dont take much as is

I mean death gives more health I like it simply as insurance. I feel the %40 DR is nice but if you stack DDs and are able to get to an end boss it's usually possible to just face tank especially the big hits. I know I've won some runs I definitely shouldn't have.

To be clear I don't do high heat at all so face tanking is very rarely a good strategy. It's just one that works

they're both good for different things!
strength scales really well with healing, and the boost to damage makes it great for speedruns or playing at difficulty levels you're confident in. if you aren't burning your death defiances, strength will speed up your runs
death is good for learning new fights/difficulty levels since it gives you a safety net, and is often better for high fear since that gets scary lol and a safety net is needed

(strength also got nerfed semi-recently before 1.0, so some arguments that strength is flat out always better may be going off of that)

a lot are only good if you invest a lot into them, at which point they can carry runs, but that means they kinda have to be the focus of your build

but once you have that a lot of the damage oriented hexes get significantly better

there are four different songs depending on how far you are into the game and which dialogues you've triggered with ||scylla||. if you've just started then it's ||song of the sirens||

if you've defeated her once, then ||song of the deep|| will also be in the pool

the other two songs unlock way later so it was probably one of those

||denial and debt are very good if you want to get used to consistency yeah, but return 1 barely spawns any revenants tbh, i don’t think it’s as much of a timeloss as you think||

My personal thoughts

||morrigan has to be my favorite hidden aspect. Hel is another one i really like, i kinda prefer it to medea. Nergal is cool, but it's hard to want to take it when Charon just melts everything that moves.

Supay is really interesting but I'm not as consistant with it yet compared to Moros

I just don't get Anubis. It's too weird to me. Shiva is a coat and I've been finding ive become distant to the coat and if I'm using a coat I'm using Nyx||
