my advice for that is literally name the safe areas out loud as it goes.
I go 1 = top, 2 = middle, 3 = bottom lane, and literally just... say or mouth the words as it goes like. "3, 2, 1, 2, 3" etc

it helps with short term memory a lot imo
(some people say words not numbers, whatever works for you!)

Focus on the safe zones and say them out loud if necessary. Also, keep to the edge of the stripes in case you have to do a top -> bottom or vice versa

each weapon has 8 testaments, 1 for each boss
they should all start at fear level 1, but you might not have them because you haven't seen a boss yet

you turn on the required amount of fear, beat the boss, and they'll drop some nightmare. After you head back, you'll have the next testament, which requires higher fear on a different boss

Daggers/fist/axe mostly for me. Using the arcana to increase your Att/special by 50% when lower than 100% magic feel like do the same thing just don't decrease your DMG taken. DMG taken on bosses I REALLY wish we could see the difference cause it doesn't seem like a whole lot and my strength is maxed

Rather still dodge and have more DD when up close and personal when it's more likely still to make mistakes when dashing may or may not dodge you out of attacks when being up close.

Strength is fine but it leaves no more for mistakes in the dodging aspect of the fights. Yes you take less dmg but unless you have high HP something like getting hit by the AoE attack of || Prometheus || you take A LOT of DMG. Even more so on the last fight.

I disagree with the that point because the DD only matters if youre taking an excessive amount of damage and want the safety net, if you're at the point you're conformable running strength, then youre generally not popping a DD anyway. Not sub 32 fear at least.

With strength the only move that does over 50 is the flames in the memory game at 60

40 fear and below strength is better, after that you have to turn on scars and dd's become better

What help can anyone offer when taking on ||Eye of Typhon|| (very late surface game mini-boss)? That thing absolutely obliterates my health and ripped straight through 3 DDs on a really solid run today.

The fight is the same as the final boss. Stationary enemy that you just pump dps into that makes a bunch of hitboxes on the stage.

Just gotta learn how to dodge and then its a simple dps check.

If you need tips on the eyeball its turn rate is kind of bad so you can run around it in a circle to avoid it

You can take pretty much anything. The most important rule of that aspect is if you have mana you have damage.

Born gain is the best gain boon, and fine line also works very well on that aspect so hera is typically preferred

But you can make other gain boons work

Its very good for weak enemies

Since your cast should be down like 99% of the time

With strong enemies it will only damage them once which isn't much of their hp

But with a weak enemy it might just spawn in and instantly die

Apollo, Aphro, and Hera are all fun for various reasons -- aphro gives the most damage, apollo makes the AoE huge so it's safer, hera has a status curse for origination + makes you shred in AoE
Demeter also good but she offers a lower % and I like freeze on other moves generally
Ares has the lowest dmg% and wounds is on a cooldown, but you can lean into max attack speed with him if that sounds fun to you
Heph is fine but Heph doesn't care about what weapon you use lol, and won't play into the weapon's strengths

re: Hera, yes! and iirc her attack boon has the highest % boost of any boon that also gives a status curse, so it's not exactly bad against bosses. hitch goes rly crazy in AoE though

you know the thing that charges up to 20% when you hit enemies without taking damage? that's just built in crit for all omega moves. you can stack it with that arcana card and artemis boons too tho

Thanatos axe is rly versatile, since the attack speed bonus makes it really fun to use without omega moves and just spam fast attacks, but if you want to lean into the crit buff you can do that too

and idt choice of god affects daedalus hammer choice! just choice of whether or not you care about omega moves

I'd mainly focus on origination + a good source of magic regen, maybe some defensive boons or +power from aphrodite's secret crush or something

every god has a magic regen boon, and almost all of them are strong enough to carry your run on their own, + the other 5 cost cards are just... a lot better
