I might be late to the enlightenment but I realized just now that you can dodge while you e.g. charge up your moves. So you can use all your charge ups like with the axe in the middle of a huge pile of monsters without any issue.

it's different for every move, some get cancelled

for the axe, ospecial doesn't get cancelled and it's a good habit to learn how to dodge while charging it. oattack does launch, but you don't get any iframes from the dash

plus yesterday evening i stumbled across the one absolute broken weapon aspect every speed runner is using atm and it's such a joke. I refrain from advertising it.

every room where you don't mash buttons mindlessly and try to observe enemy attack patterns, your attack patterns and think a little is progress in this game

there is no best keepsake, the idea is to switch them up as you go depending on
I usually start with olympian god keepsake to get build going, cause guaranteed drop + rarify
in second biome I /get the moon stuff keepsake to buff my moon hex/
third it depends more on situation and location and build
fourth can be evil eyes or something like that to prep with big boss fight etc etc

heph attack/special nuke can be very good, the key is to build it up. it really shines with grapefruits reducing the cooldown and extra boons that buff it up for extra damage/curse effect
and curse effect is straight up +extra damage to target for 5 seconds, so if cooldown is brought down to 5 seconds you can keep heph curse on target non-stop

psyche is also a high priority, to increase your arcana.

I beat ||Chronos|| for the first time in 1.0, and apparently I should have unlocked the ability to craft the ||Dissolution of Time|| incantation, but I didn't trigger any relevant dialogue from Hecate, nor do I see it available at the cauldron. I understand there are many more ingredients I need to even craft it, but I thought it was supposed to still appear? Should I just keep doing runs to eventually trigger said dialogue?

I routinely just charge-aim my cast or charge a special to cancel it just to trigger the time dilation tbh.
I like real-time with pause combat, guess that's why. but for sure useful card if I struggle with a boss fight or room is too overwhelming etc etc
