my personal take is yes. it feels rough to die over and over, but learning to beat rivals and ideally frenzy 2 chronos in the lower fears with better builds etc will let you not have to do that later when you’re also struggling more with timer, getting fewer boons, etc!

Yeah I have a couple of rivals chronos wins under my belt but might need to learn him more before I bump things up. Frenzy 2 and Time 3 are just baseline for me at this point

Ghost onion is mainly just used to get some healing when you're running scars 3. If you're running strength it has at least a little more value but otherwise there's usually better options

I mean it prolongs a death defiance fine enough but I personally would have just used silken sash, if you really needed extra safety, since you already had every single heph shield boon

Would have given some extra value on heavy metal and you'd have been unlikely to lose all your shield except on cerberus since you already had trusty shield

I've been trying some runs without gale to really focus on damage reduction. kicked chronos' butt here, had a really nice run that left me feeling like I can maybe finally turn up the fear some more. The damage number for that fight is a bit unrepresentative, I hit P3 with no damage taken yet and decided to train his moveset mid-run until the timer warning appeared and I finished things 😅 it felt really weird to be able to toy with chronos, especially without gale

also, raki + psychic leash is bananas. I've spent the last few runs of this going "wow, did psychic leash get buffed?" but it's literally just that (shocker) having a familiar who stays near the enemy and is predictable makes the leash way handier

They have 2800 health normally and R1 scaling is .125
