Frenzy speeds up enemy spawns and shortens invulnerabilities and shadow causes one of the warden fights, the shadow spiller in Erebus, to be faster

On surface shadow isn’t necessary

Not running frenzy loses you like a minute plus over the course of a run

true, i just find the cooldown and the hunger for poms kinda annoying to have to think about, and i like ares in general. attack speed and grievous and such is fun. heph survivability is really great though, i do like having him in my pool. but in a possessed array run i would rather just have wounds and grievous rather than heph blast which does 10% of my possessed array damage every 4 seconds

but i know ares isnt really optimal, i just liked him in hades 1 so he got grandfathered in to being one of my faves in hades 2 as well

If you’re doing insane damage with something then it’s always stronger to buff that rather than focus on something else that isn’t doing nearly as much damage

I wouldnt call savescumming and macro binding QoL, savescumming is something that is natural with the system that fundamentally has almost zero solution and generally is very frowned upon, and macro bindings fundamentally change a game to where you need to design around macros otherwise everything breaks

Moros is just a side npc like odysseus and probably old enough to be mel's uncle as well

so icarus is pretty much the only cool romance option, not to mention he's cool asf, an ambitious mortal that has risen to the level of gods and died for it only to become a unique shade that actively assists me in battle and provides hella cool blessings
