The problem I have with 55F isn't the difficulty, it's the RNG forcing you to reset so often.

Well I have boatman and always take all the extra chambers in tartarus, as you can see in the image I also have an epic affluence from chaos that gives about 80-100% more gold, meaning you can get around 2000 Gold in Tartarus alone.

Don't really know why it was this insane that time though... maybe I should try playing with golden rule some time

Probably my best run yet. I was at exactly 1 HP and 0 DD in like the 5th room of Erebus (thanks to White Antler and me being dumb in a Trial of the Gods). But played as safe as possible and clawed my way back out and still won (with Narcicuss and Echo both giving me DDs back).
Cherry on top: This was my first underworld 16 fear run and got me the second statue as well.

Wanted to try max Vow of Fury to practice, and ended up with my first completed run ever where Chronos did not do most damage to me. Granted, I had Frosty Veneer and Self Healing, but still pretty happy with that. I think Momus is my favorite aspect. I also casually had 3k+ gold at the end of the run. Kind of wish I could have used them to get more Charon's coupons 😦

@slate matrix Woo Charon was actually way more fun than I thought. Pushed to 20F with it \o/. But I lost so many DDs to stupid stuff -- I kept spamming omega specials from weird positions where I was not able to block. Was chugging through mana real quick. That said, Wolf Howl might be the most OP hex when you get the 1s invulnerability. One omega special for me and was able to keep spamming it. With The Sorceress arcana, I could just spam invulnerability as long as my mana was available.

The main thing that kept me alive against chronos was the Apollo and hestia boons, one made it so I couldn't take more than 15 damage from a single hit, and the other made me heal when I took damage, that plus two death defiances and the Hades boon for 10% after each death defy

Basically just tanked him at the end i was praying I would kill him before he got me

Took me 38 attempts and about 23 hours of game time, not bad in my opinion

That fight is definitely something though, honestly some of his attacks seem completely impossible to dodge unless I'm just tripping

you can use casts to hold enemies in place

it also just one shots most enemies since it can be buffed with backstab and other global damage sources

and with geyser spout you can just spam it

the only weakness really is that it doesn't stun enemies like sprint or attacks, but since there is a minor cooldown between geyser spout casts it's best to strike enemies during that anyways then start casting again. (Also hopefully it doesn't get nerfed to hell and back like bball)

Last testament of beating Chronos with torches on 24F was really hard (what can I say, I don't like torches). Took me around 10 attempts trying different aspects and gods. Finally decided to play towards frosty veneer which got activated right before chronos fight.

Hey I asked this before but do you guys think that heroic boons are much more common than Hades 1? I've killed chronos eight times consecutively now and I've always had at least one heroic boon in all these runs. Is this just because of artifacts?

I used Apollo and Poseidon duo, I usually start with Apollo magic refill to speed things up, at the start, and hope for a early Poseidon room, to get the dash. after that, hope for another Apollo or Poseidon to get the duo. (I realized it was the speedrun strat after lol) The duo is kind of weird to get used to, but once you figure it out, it's kind of cool. They did nerf it a lot, considering it has to "charge" up now to do the max damage. Chaos fight was something, I reached Chaos like 5 or 6 times before getting the kill. That's pretty much what it is, GL on it if you attempt it!

SOOOO many things this run has. Cast has Hades, Apollo, and Posiedon insta, so I can safely spam omega casts from a distance. Or, I can spam special if I want to near-instantly activate the dark side hex. Then, I'd have a chaos boon putting my magic to full while dark side was active. I was invincible practically always, so I always had Apollo's Perfect Image. Pseudo-infinite invincibility and magick. SOOOO good
