fun dual blade build that i just got by chance. first victory!

• demeter cast deals bonus damage and follows you
• apollo while standing in cast gradually restore mana
• apollo and demeter duo boon + cast get stronger every time you use it + it costs more

this with the hex that heals you and i got it up to 7 uses, 5 death defiances, charge attack deals +400% damage, chance for attack to hit twice, hades boon more damage per lost DD. so i just stuck to chronos like glue, deployed the cast, and he melted while i smacked him with as many attacks as possible. lost every single DD during 2nd phase and that got him.

YESSS finally cleared 32 Fear! It was the craziest run ever!

First time getting the best triple hammers for Momus, everything died off-screen. I was gonna give up after Hecate because I was playing too sloppy, didn't get any hammers and lost ALL my DDs. Then I put on White Antler and got Shimmering Moonshot and cleared Oceanus hitless. I was astounded, and thought "no way I'm making it to Chronos." And yet, I cleared the Fields hitless. Thought the same with Tatarus but then I got Last Gasp and it was like easy mode. This combo is just crazy strong! Managed to get some max life and armor before Chronos, and it was enough for me to survive to absolutely melt him! I love Hades 2, feels just as good if not better than Hades 1 to finally win after so many attempts

My first victory! The run started out really poorly, with rolls only giving me stuff I wasn't comfortable/familiar with / stuff I didn't like, but I toughed it out and ended up stacking the knife throw so hard that I almost didn't need to do anything else. I had some supplementary dot on my cast but, that special and omega special just ruined.

Tried my hand at the speed run strats to see how they fair. Managed to get the full build pretty much but didn't get double moonshot until immediately before Hecate which I imagine wasted some time. The build is silly strong though. was fun!

Probably quite slow all things considered but I'm no speedrunner, and I'm no hades tryhard hahaha.

As far as I can tell, I'm the first to clear 44 fear. Forewarning, the run is looong as I opted to play as safely as possible. I also wanted to showcase a particular combination of dagger slow and passive hex generation.

This build worked extremely well and I didn't even have the last boon I wanted/ one could have played it more optimally. I originally also wanted the hera boon buffing omegas used when on 100% mana, it was the only reason I took hera and I could have used the cast more often which would have made my omega attack crit 12% of the time. But even so, I was very lucky with the hammers, not only getting the "omega-attack hits twice in the front" hammer, but also the "your omega hits sideways" hammer.

I also got every duo boon possible in this run and the legendary.

Though too be fair I was aiming for the legendary, and this isn't my first run trying to get this.

Erebus can be the hardest part of the run if you don't get a good hammer and a source of mana regen early (mana regen important because I'm not running unseen arcana)

My first win. Night 33, wasted all defiances on Scylla, was unlucky with boons and didn't have enough damage. Though the run was over but then got Phoenix Skin, which is astonishingly good, but made the run very, very slow. Then I wasted my year's luck, when in tartarus I got Heroic Apollo cast, then before the boss I got Hera's boon then uplifted Flame strike to Heroic. Mostly I was the sitting duck, yeeted my omega cast at Chronos, then charged omega special and used its aspect synergy with cast, while regening health to max. What a run, man

One of my recent Victories. I have to say Solar Ring + Downpour + the Health & Mana Moon boon is ridiculous. Downpour increases the strength of your Cast each time you use it, but it also increases your cost. Which if you have enough Mana, auto recharges your Moon boon. Which recharges my Mana, Which lets me cast AGAIN.

My last cast took out 1/3 of Chronos's health. CRAZY damage. Total damage of casts was 183K which was almost double everything else. I didn't lose a single death defiance and 17 more uses of the Moon boon. I could have killed Chronos a dozen more times

First win after 60 nights!! And I still almost died to Chronos. The game is WAAAYYY harder than the first (which I beat Hades in like 20 runs) and I love it. Ravaal is the best (well my best) weapon in the game.

its partially the standard staff momus Poseidon OP build
i think the touch that made it workable for a pleb like me was

• hestia's glowing coal + smoldering ring
• demeter's gale force
  that combo of 3 let me keep **origination **on with just 1 cast hit and still go for **steam **on top of it!

Oh my god yall, I beat Chronos for the first time yesterday but I gotta talk about the day before, where in the middle of a really good run where I thought I had a shot, during the dang fight with him, my medication alarm went off. just know dying is part of the progression. I would push to unlock the Death Defiance Arcana card and the materials to upgrade it as your first goal.

my first win! Took me 25 hours but I finally did it. Got really lucky that I got the hestia and appollo infused boon right before fighting chronos, being healed the entire fight was great. Than was Apollo attack and I got furious whirlwind early. I think there was maybe some demeter, but honestly that carried itself. I also got a heroic Artemis boon for 25% omega damage after dashing.

Moros was a spiteful strength build that started Hera. It took like 5 tries because I choked on Chronos.

Mel axe was aphro attack and I think some demeter for CC. I ran 40 seconds over the 5 min timer on chronos which was spooky. Antler helped close that one out

Mel torches was aphro special into heart throb into Apollo duo and was very comfy. (also born gain, born gain got shoe horned in a lot.) but could have used Apollo gain, or fluid, or hell hestia, that one is flexible on the regen

And with regards to the vow, I imagine 40% speed/5 min timer with less pressure on damage/healing? I’m somewhat struggling on my usual ranged setup of max enemy damage and no healing with less safe melee-ish weapons (both axe and torches)

If my experience is anything to go by, your 45 run is a strong foundation for 48 with Antler. I went 45-47-48-50 with Momus (doing Antler on the 50 run), and the experience definitely helps

Aphrodite special (and heartthrob) is REALLY good with melinoe torches. You just go around "1 shotting" most mobs and bosses die really fast too

In my toooooootally unbiased opinion, Eos' safety is going to work better for pushing than the higher potential dps of Mel and Moros is a league below the two

But if you are a melee god Mel is def viable

So far I did 32 with Eos and Meli, and both felt bad on Chronos. Guess I need more practice

Meli felt worse somehow, spent like 5 minutes fighting him, and second half of p2 was a total nightmare

It's one of my favourite weapons to fight him with, if not the favourite

So far I enjoyed Pan the most - one of the weapons you can actually try outdpsing him with, while not totally trivial like Momus

I’m playing it safe with Spiteful Strength + Coarse Grit (+ related support boons) on 32+. Fairly ubiquitous setup, fits everything and plays really safe

I'm honestly not sure how much I like spiteful on Eos. The damage is high, but if going for it early game you'll be priming off a loooooooooot of mana and you don't have a curse on attack

Yeah, duos priming 40 is kinda mad. Triple earth can get screwed by fairly useless Dem+Hera duo, if playing with Arctic Ring. But then again, Demeter cast can yield 2 curses by itself.

14/15 Aspects at 32, what a fun run! Psychic + Furious whirlwinds make for a very fun playstyle, literally yo-yoing around the field, and channeling whirlwind while doing a whirlwind. Time’s a bit meh as Spiteful Strength was obtained literally mid Tartarus.

I've done like 3 than clears with Apollo attack and it seems to work quite well, usually I still look for trusty shield but after that it's a toss up. If you ever want to try a diff approach

but especially with the one that removes 2 remaining boons i just take what i can get that doesn’t remove the other one

I'll take whichever one of them shows up, if I forsake the attack I'll make sure to build spiteful strength with Heph (if they show up together born gain more important)

Attack is good but ultimately replaceable, the regen less so when most of them don't even work on torches

In lower fear you can get away with not running born gain and relying on taking every blue bottle in sight with a weaker regen, but when you go high that one really becomes by far the best option (my 40 fear clear used Demeter regen)

i find myself greatly disliking the demeter regen boon, it feels clunky

32 without increased enemy hp and enemy count in rooms, you can get away with not playing it if you're playing antler

Because antler Eos will generally be capable of clearing these waves/boss phases before you run out of mana. Then you can use your weaker regen that doesn't work with torch attack to regain strength during downtime

Yo i got this crazy cast build, pretty fun, i could cast for 5 magick, restore to full magick priming 1 when i ran out ( barely needed that but luck is luck) a little range because of Zeus and instant explosion from Poseidon, a couple of buff charon well items and it was set.
Full mage, barely never used my weapon when i realized i could do this, crazy thing is this run was going pretty poorly and only came together on the final locations of the fields.

this is my first ever time getting a "full cycle" - 5 32 Fear wins, one on every weapon, consecutively.

There is no way to prove this run was unseeded, sadly, unlike the other 4, so it's "unofficial", for now, but if anyone has similar acheivements, we are tracking the rotating winstreak and 32 all weapons speedrun records in the builds channel

Finally tried Hephaestus

Yeah he... kind of sucks?

That +10 Poms and 6s cooldown sure does look good, but the last +6 are both from Tartarus (Room and Charos), so most of the time I'm just stuck with something that has 16-12s cooldown.

Whenever it's on cooldown (which it is for 80% of the run) it's hard-carried by Momus Aspect, its 2 best hammer upgrades, and Artemis' Support Fire.

You really need to get at least Epic rarity to even just play the game, plus a lot of Poms plus being lucky if it's even gonna show up in the selection.

First Aspect win! Went with Momus' Staff for a strong Special build, coming in with 100 damage per shot close range, and doubled thanks to Double Moonshot's effects!

Unlimited magick (thanks chaos & poseidon) = the ultimate beyblade of spinning wet balls. the specific playstyle with the specials on the torches was so fun, wish that the attack didn't feel so bad, even on the other aspects it doesn't feel great.
