How many detours you took in tart?
There is a mechanic where the longer you take to Chronos during tart the more enemies spawn

Is only mentioned as a voice line by Mel during tart if you wanna feedback that

it also just doesn't seem like the animal itself that's killing you with any sort of intent to do so, rather it's a side effect of them feeding through no fault of their own, be a bit like saying the hippos pooping in the waters is what's giving the malaria to the mosquitos who give it to humans thus hippos still top predator.

depends on the aspect you play, for the most part. Base Torch and Medea Skull are pretty close-quarters weapons that rely on you weaving in and out of your damage range since they have no real defensive capabilities + the Torch's spinning orbs don't stagger enemies
