The fight takes 2-3x as long and she does not sit still for anywhere near as long

Normal Eris sits still for so damn long even on frenzy 2

You can have a really strong build and rivals Eris will still take a while to kill

Normal Eris only has one attack that causes her to move and that’s the charge

Deflating the fight to “just walk in a straight line” is very diminishing to how difficult the fight can actually be on many weapons that rely on damage setups

She constantly moves out of casts and constantly flies away, which clears curses

It’s effectively impossible to use on some moves like axe O-attack which require an attack before hand to start the charge

You would have to attack then walk into the grape juice while charging

Since its “your next move” not “your next move that makes contact”

But there’s some moves it works very well on though like Anubis attack, blades/morrigan o-special, coat dash attack or o-special, Persephone/Hel o-special, or torches o-special

Since those moves don’t require another move to activate the omega charge and it counts for every hit of the move

not only are they not skips, but they also take longer on average because they have staggered spawns instead of one or two waves (three waves are often slower)

Which means you get him at a point where you don't need his help, means you don't get him in Olympus, and he tends to take as long to give you your money (which is when the timer starts back up again) as it does to just clear the room if he hadn't shown up

Frenzy is one of the hardest vows. It increases the difficulty significantly for both regular enemies and boss fights

it's reduced, but that's not the main use of cast for bosses, cast has damage and statuses and other things that it could contribute bonuses to. Some builds like Circe are cast based damage.

idk much about hades 1, but didn't you need to focus on cast builds to make them work? in hades 2 they work well with any build

Hades 1 casts had a lot of damage potential and there was a mirror that made enemies that had cast in them take more damage, cast was very much useful. There were other builds where they were cast based, like duo hunting blades or the beowulf / hera bows, both aspects goated for damage.

In Hades 2, cast has snares, but also plenty of damage and statuses, ect. Feel free to look in victory boasting, plenty of builds do tons of damage from the cast.

i didn't know there were even cast builds. i spammed casts in hades 1 but mostly because of that huge damage bonus against cast-afflicted enemies, never because of the damage from the casts themselves

the main problem I think is approval process (i think that's the name) that makes so 2 out of the 3 options for boons/hammers are locked out, meaning you really can't choose anything

for a long time max heat was just treated as impossible and you were meant to aim for high heat and strategically pick pacts of punishment to suit your build and minimize the impact of luck

45 to 67 is quite the jump since you have no arcana. Try doing max vow of void with nothing else to start. And the margin for error is nonexistent like you’re taking double damage every hit and you start with 30 hp and the timer suddenly becomes scary again staring down hordes 3 grit 3 return and wards
