now ||mel herself gives him the idea to talk to chronos before killing him||

and then a bunch of dialogue were changed/added to fit the new ending

There's two main ways to go with Than axe, depending on your hammers. Both of them want a strong percentage attack (Aphro, Apollo, Hera), though

First way is you get something buffing your Omegas (Psychic Whirlwind, Sudden Whirlwind, Seething Marauder, even Giga Cleaver, etc) and you focus on maintaining Mortality. You're gonna want to find Exceptional Talent in that case

Second way is you get stuff boosting your base attacks (Rapid Hack, etc) and you focus on that instead and look for boosts to your base damage and attack speed

question: i beat chronos before V1.0, when you were just sent back to the crossroads because the story wasn't finished. now that i'm playing the full release, the game remembers that i beat chronos. did i miss the cutscene that happens afterward? do i have to look up gameplay someone beating him in V1.0 to watch what i missed?

it’s likely a weird niche decoration, some of them have odd unlock requirements (such as “salute the hades fountain at the crossroads twice”)
I’d recommend getting someone who has a complete save to count how many decorations are in each menu (tent, songs, taverna, center, training grounds) and see if you’re missing one.

have you done the incantation “empath’s intuition”? multiple characters will agree to go but they have to be at the point in the relationship where they want to

you can raise your fear level by turning on vows which make the game harder in various ways.
in that vow menu, you should see some bounties on the left—specific bosses + weapons + levels of fear. if you clear that boss with that weapon at that level of fear (or higher), you’ll earn a weapon upgrade material, and a new bounty will appear.
you also get some other rewards for turning up fear, such as decorations, and eventually some free items in region 4 (if fear is at 12+).
the highest level of fear you need to farm weapon upgrades is 20, and the highest level the game rewards you for in any way is 32.
the actual max is 67, and 62 is another common goal for people who want to push fear as high as they can as a personal challenge

you can beat the entire game and complete the story without ever touching fear, but doing it at least a bit for weapon upgrades is nice, and a lot of the vows are very easy to deal with. if you like self-imposed challenges, fear is also a great system for that

No weapon aspect is THAT much better than others for this fight. Just pick whatever you feel comfortable with.

• Use Death Defiance instead of Strength until you've learned the fight (because ||Chronos has several insta-kill attacks||)
• Grab the Origination card, select boons to make use of it. Makes a huge difference

So after thinking about it for a while as I was trying to make some arcana loadouts, what do people think about the idea of lowering The Unseen grasp cost from 5 to 4? I find that it is in a bit of an awkward spot with its current cost, but lowering it by one actually opens it up by quite a bit.
Small gameplay mechanic spoilers:
||Right now if you want the queen active during a fates whim run you are forced to either go both Death and Strength or have 4 unspent grasp.
If you want Divinity Active, The Unseen is in is the second most expensive row/column you could go for in a fates whim run while also being one of the weaker ones, the row also turns off The Queen which isn't ideal but not The Unseen's fault.
For comparison the row below costs 1 more grasp but got Death, Origination and The Lovers while still keeping The Queen active.
Now the reason I'm focusing on the fates whim is that during a run where you got all your rerolls you can get good mana recovery no problem, but in a fates whim run where you got to take what you get, the mana regen actually has proper impact.||
Anyway, for all i know this might be an old take, i kinda just jumped into the discord to get the Jimmy Neutron "brain blast" moment out of my head. 😅

Like, the Special isn’t the Dash (in that you don’t really get Invincibility frames), so you sometimes will special into danger by mistake.

As for Hel, while it does have a neat playstyle, the charge up for the rapid fire mode is a little slow and costly, which can also lead to taking damage if you aren’t careful (in my Hel 62 Surface I just ignored OSpecial AND OAttack), and also it’s a bit reliant on hitting Zeus / Hestia / Poseidon Attack

The way that Anvil Ring works is that, timingwise, the three hits are like something that the cast triggers rather than being tied to the cast's existence itself. So even if the cast expires or gets Charonsploded, the three hits keep doing their thing.

I used to move to the safe spot at that part of the fight, but after a while i stopped doing it. If my build is good i get him to half hp before the blast happens, if the build is bad, i die, or gale/armor saves my life.
