I also like the comedy of using it a hair too late and summoning a small angry fish instead of the big beefy enemy I tried to summon right after killing them in oceanus or w/e

also I love godsent total eclipse, I was kinda lukewarm on it at baseline but taking away the "enemies can just dodge" thing made me love it.
I've mentioned this before but it phased rivals sirens for me basically on its own with godsent + hitch and I was so happy...

Each Olympian has some useful boons in their repertoire, I'd suggest experimenting at the stage you're in!

You've also not seen all of the Olympians if you've just started the game so that's something to keep in mind

That was there last achievement I unlocked. Essentially it's a back and forth between Athena on the surface and Arachne in the underground. Make sure you have maxed out your bond with Athena. Takes so long 😭

There’s not really a one-size-fits-all answer because it depends on which weapon you’re using, and personal playstyle, but some general pointers:

• weapons that attack quickly (ex: the blades) like flat attack boosts like Poseidon or Hestia attack
• weapons with slower, heavier attacks/specials like % attack boosts like Aphrodite or Apollo
• Poseidon’s Sea Star is excellent utility/income that adds up over a run
• if you run Hephaestus explosions (attack, special, dash), they tend to be priority pom targets because poms reduce their cooldown

There’s a lot more info we could give but most of it depends on what weapon you want to play

Hey i have a question: Ive been enjoying the game so far and it was challenging at times but always manageable. Ive been slowly working my way through the Oath of the Unseen, but now ive hit a roadblock. I simply cannot do the Scylla Charybdis teamup fight. Even going down all the way to the minimum fear with just rivals enabled im struggling. Its gotten to the point where im doing Hecate hitless because i had to do her so many times to reach that fight. At this point i am entirely convinced there is a gimmick to the fight that allows you to somehow disable charybdis' projectiles. This cannot be how its meant to be played.

The harder but faster method in the rivals olympus fight is to recognize which one is on lead and which one is support (they take turns being on lead, lead is aggressive and will approach to attack whereas support is more chill).

You then go attack the support and the lead will follow into melee range, allowing you to hit both with your aoe moves.

Its harder though because dodging is quite difficult when both are in melee range of you

it took me ages to get comfortable with fear in hades 2 but now that high fear feels possible I’m extremely determined lol. sucked too bad when I played hades 1 to bother with heat much

Well imo its also a natural part of the genre. The main replayability of a roguelike comes from the goal of self improvement

If you just play for the story you are in and out of the game in maybe 20 hours and will not stick around for more convos

also yeah, people who are passionate abt a roguelike and play it a lot are probably going to be the types to want to push difficulty.
whereas like… being passionate abt something like deltarune or stardew and playing it a lot doesn’t necessarily mean you’re in it for self improvement
