those enemies have a whole arsenal, can snipe from across the map, their melee attacks hurt and they turtle down followed by the worst kind of projectile in this game. Nothing in Mourning Fields can even compare

i had a funny moment with athena where i saw she had a death defiance thing, grabbed it immediately, and then realized i drained all ym magic...but thankfully my build was base don basic attacks so i made it work, and WITH the replenishing death defiance i made it to ||typhon's tail||

from what I know, it's all random. Of course, certain chambers can only be entered from certain sides (I think Erebus fountain can only be entered from the bottom right, correct?) so that's something to keep in mind

yeah, chambers will generally try and have you enter in a straight line for immersion- if you exit a room going right, then you'll enter the next room from the left side. As such, most chambers will generally have 2 entrances, but there are exceptions (like Charon endshops)

The best way to play the weapon is to not really focus on the backstab damage and stacking flat damage/blitz, the backstab will happen itself but it's alot harder to scale with aphro

and then I guess in theory ares deals 80 damage per enemy, but enemies will only take multiple instances of damage if they're standing close enough for the blade AoEs to overlap, not just in the cast circle period

There may be other dialogue that the game prioritized.
Try selecting the chaos trials where it doesn't force you to use a specific keepsake! You can play the Oceanus one until you get the dialogue, it should work just fine.
(you can also just do normal runs, but chaos trials are faster, is all)

you should learn how to dodge every one of his moves, which takes practice

In the first phase he will do one attack, which also summons fire (for example, uppercut and then a pillar of fire appears), then he will pause for a bit and you can safely unload into him then.

In the second phase he does the same attacks but he now chains three moves in a row, two faster moves that do not have fire and then a third move that summons fire (for example, uppercut, ground slam, kick with fire wave). Again, after he does the fire move he will pause for a bit and you can safely unload your slow attacks into him then.

he also has the attacks that arent a part of his main combo that just spread fire on the ground, just make sure to aim the fire somewhere that doesn't cut off most of the arena
