Keep in mind that most people which recommend stuff like that are min maxing like crazy

Just take it easy

Also farming events is way better than the campaign for the most part

How much points do you currently have in it?

It's recommended to at least get to 30k for the extra core data

That being said, the current mini event isn't that rewarding compared to main events. Probably the reason why someone recommended you don't farm it.
