14-4 in-depth help

1. What is optimal method of clearing? I've been grabbing flare shells and then fighting the 3* fog fleet to unlock the lighthouse, is this the best way?

2. It seems like EVERYTHING is a high priority threat and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to kill it all at once like five seconds after it appears on screen. What am I supposed to prioritize, and how am I supposed to manage airstrikes/shelling? If I prioritize enemy command ships sometimes the ramming boats get through and melt 1/4 of my main fleet's health, if I let loose on them then I can't kill command ships quick enough and they get several volleys on my main fleet.

3. I've tried multiple vanguard setups and not sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Torpedo memes help me clear stuff fast but if I mess up once they die in one battle. If I focus too much on survivability with units like Drake/Azuma/Roon/Roon U/Anchorage if feels like I can't dps fast enough to stop my main fleet from dying over 3-4 battles, so I'm not sure what balance I'm supposed to do.

4. Fighting enemies in fog fleets good or bad? I know the basic mechanics like the EVA-based detection meter and stay out of the red circles from enemy but it just feels like I'm missing some important mechanic here.

1. Unlock light house first thing, always clear 3 flag fights first so when you outta ammo you clear the 2 flag and 1 flag, use subs if there are still leftover 3 flag when outta ammo

Hard to pin it down. I guess I'm not dpsing enough? Sometimes it's the ramming boats with the detector triangles in front of them, sometimes it's enemy command ship. it's like I don't get airstrikes/shelling/torpedos fast enough to kill them all

If I use Shima in mob fleet should I also use a DD in boss fleet? Noshiro or Jin?

Give washing machine to FdG, ditch Helena and put in YuudachiKai/Shimakaze/Tashkent/Kazagumo with hedgehog. Give Perseus ASW plane (or 2). Either ditch Drake and put a second DD there, or toss Kron and let Drake tank for the second DD.

As for boss, new jersey aquila healer (YES I AM SERIOUS) uvh, agir shimakaze anchorage @rain anvil

Reason to use aquila healer on bossing is that the targetting system in this game target cv less

So that all backline pressure would be on uvh or new jersey

So aquila healer can ez shield and heal

you can follow a recommended fleets, try it, if it gets hairy then pause and reset

Cleared the mob fleet prettily easily but died to the boss, that's an improvement. Vanguard died but main fleet was low too. I forgot the boss spawns instantly with like three huge battleships. Should I save all my DPS for then?
