Since you're still below world 6 i would say focus whichever you like among Enty, Nagato, Yukikaze, Bristol, Portland, An Shan (if you have retrofit item). Getting hiryu in 3-2 to pair with souryu will give you a very strong backline with Nagato as you proceed as well.

Worth doing 1 for sure, you might not be able to use 2 immediately since you'd lack cores for 2nd missile.

1 fleet for now yea, mainly focus levelling enty and Portland/phoenix/Yukikaze. That way when you transition to 2 fleets you have some boss fleet carries ready.

3-2 also drops helldivers so that sweetens the deal even more

Yep.. i agree with you and while @hard sierra is still at Chap 3, he might as well plan on how what ships to invest and farm useful gears in preparation for the later chapters.

Hellcat (or any other with 2x500 bombs) for fighter and Barracuda for Torp on CV/Ls

Uhh actually i don't really remember most of the others so using /equip in #bot-spam is your best bet. Also use /tags to see what else you can look into (such as ship tiering, gem spending, etc)

F4U or Hellcats in the fighter slots would be good for Enty, BB's like Nagato that are barrage dependent would need a fast firing main gun like the purple twin 410mm while if you need shellings, go for the triple 406mm mk6

Yukikaze can be place in your left most since she is a tanky DD coz of her skill, laffey and bristol can be a main gun or torp dps.

Your 2nd vanguard fleet is quite tanky but moves slowly unless you have a beaver badge. Another thing, if your fleet is quite squishy, try using some repair toolkits or +EVA Auxilliaries for survivability

Hiryuu and Souryu pair with each other, and both benefit from Nagato's buffs.

I would mix it up a bit. In general you want CAs to tank but Yukikaze and Phoenix are also good ones, especially in mobbing. I wouldn't bother with Indianapolis - the sister buff isn't worth it. Biloxi is a decent CL for AA when you eventually need it but you will likely have better CLs by then.

Basically i would make 1 phoenix Bristol ykk and 2 Portland laffey eugen. This isn't hard and fast though as you'd want to rotate ships in and out to suit who you need to level.

Honestly, none of the backliners are noteworthy barring Enty and Nagato. When you get drops look out for Shohou and Unicorn since they provide some healing. Look out for the ships in the medal exchange - they're all good, especially Sam Diego (only when retrofitted).

Oh Warspite is in exchange too, also worth due to retrofitting. SD/Warspite are the top tiers in exchange whereas the rest are high to mid tier.

As for elites there's Helena and Ark Royal as top tiers and Unicorn is high tier (until you get better healers).
