Souryuu needs Hiryuu & Kaga needs Akagi to be at their best. Hornet is meh. Maybe better than Yorktown but idk.

zep and uvh could probably just sit in the backline together and I'd be fine
but I like to balance the fleets at least for now

portland is a superior boss tank to prinz, so they can switch places, she'll do work for you all the way to w13, and beyond if you choose to do so

Unicorn is a healer CVL that’s permenantly available so she’s decent by default tbh
There’s only two direct upgrades really, and neither will be available for the next year or two

illustrious is meh because of her damage output, but don't throw her away, she may prove useful to keep leveled in reserve when you get to w13 and don't have better options like centaur

i use illustrious in my w13 mob fleet, her protection let me 3 star the map on lethal, though my other ships had to work harder to put out damage
she's kind of like the eugen for the backline haha, but really good in her niche

though if you get 410 ijn triples, or 406 triple mle 38 hold on to those
