its the only DR in this game I dev30ied 
14-3 so i think poi better boss and shima better mob

well getting to boss in 14-3 is more of the pain than those 2 pushover dd's so id still prefer shima

in spite of having already cleared 14-3 once a few weeks ago I forgot if there's actual subs in 14-3, do I need radar+depth charge/hedgehog on both dds?

no need for radar these days, but you want to use atleast 2, best case 3 asw weapons (hedge + depth charge/asw planes
so your mob dd wants a hedge and give ryuu an asw plane
if best case is 3 I could give ryuu asw plane and jda depth charges (and the dd hedgehog)
ow yeah with this setup you should avoid BB nodes
get it to +10 and its great

what needs to change in my fleet setup in order to not have to avoid bb nodes?
I mean, there's only 2 asw planes (and some lower rarity versions) 
rudders everywhere and moving subs to tiles around said bb nodes 
*everywhere but dd
id feed odin an ap gun personally so u have an extra dmg source to dunk on bb's to make them more bearable as well

in 14-4 you drop noshi for jda 
noshi > jda in 14-3 cause torp damage reduc is helpful

and keep jda if you can otherwise replace with a gunboat dd

I get that ticon is a good stat stick for recon/acv but isn't she a light armor specialist?
well in mobs
she has 2 functions mainly
a) she doesn't die easily
b) her airstrike barrage when she launches an airstrike does a lotta damage to those bulky suicides
i use her mainly cause of the not die easily function cause rng is pain so not dying despite the rng is 
you can also craft tbtsk kai in gear lab to use as an aux for your not tash gun aux bbs as well, in my experience it helps a lot
oh crap I didnt seriously consider my bb auxes, I think NJ is using the gearlab AP one and UvH and Richelieu are using this (its simply what I've been putting on bb's with a cl aux ever since I first read a gear guide years ago 

thats gonna really hurt in w14 tho
u need good auxes to deal with suicides
and that gun isnt really good enough
I upgraded some belguns when the gearlab upgrade came out, useful? or do I need ap against suicide? I forgot
the 155 kais are good u can use them
whelp I could exclusively fight 2 star recon enemies which made mobbing quite easy
aqheala died pretty early in the bossfight but I managed to drag an A-rating out of it regardless
so thanks for all the suggestions ❤️

you kinda want rudders on all of your backliners in all of w14
I've got 11 of them but they're all equipped and I hate tearing setups apart T_T
i guess another option is you can try to get around by feeding your cvs with VH armour plating if u have them to save on rudders
