Post your current dock here, ill try to suggest something

urban hemlock
#

i mean i think my fleet atm is fine

#

kinda just need a 2nd fleet for morale while farming

warm moth
#

its more or less fine, though you sorta wanna get out of raising a 2nd unicorn if nothing else (if youre going to raise a 2nd healer in may as well be shouhou) (late game content like OpSi blocks dupe usage)

urban hemlock
#

u cant have dupes on any fleet?

warm moth
#

Operation Siren (the endgame 4 fleet mode) doesnt allow any dupes, correct

#

also the game rewards you for each unique ship you obtain and MLB with fleet tech points, which will matter for unlocking the research ships

#

either way id replace the 2nd unicorn with kirishima/shouhou (guild shop rare)/or Hiei as the filler ship and rework things once the event banner drops

warm moth
#

Ill just toss this here as to not clog up chat, heres an example from the last UR event

#

the remainder of the 7% SSR pool is populated by permanent banner ships that match the focus 2% drop SSR (in this case it was special pool to match the CV)

#

Also because UR gets its own rate, its statistically advantageous to pull on UR events over normal pools (1.2% UR +7% SSR = 8.2% SSR or greater)

#

For a list of all permanent pool ships you can check here https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/Building#Permanent_Construction under the permanent dropdown @urban hemlock

Azur Lane Wiki

The Building tab is where you can construct new ships, check on the status of ships under construction, trade medals for ships, and retire ships. Each is handled from a menu on the left. From the top down the 4 menus are: Construction, Under Construction, Exchange, and Retire

urban hemlock
warm moth
#

did that cover all the gacha based questions about events?

urban hemlock
#

yea are most of the perm ships mediocre?

#

was looking at the tier list on slaimuda and cant really find any of the perm pool in the top

warm moth
#

There is a range of power as a result of ships being eventually rotated to permanent pool, some ships have skills that just aged better as well (see Enterprise/Helena/some others)

urban hemlock
#

ah

#

but all those ones are in the special category?

warm moth
#

For Heavy examples of good perma pool ships, Duke of York, Amagi, and Tosa (even Hood to an extent) stand out

urban hemlock
#

ah i was looking at ex/tier 0

#

is that tier meant for like the highest difficulty maps? (meta)

warm moth
#

T1 ships arent always worse so much as more niche (duke of york is still a standard in certain BB nuke comps for example) t2+ is generally able to handle all content except Arbiter hard and w14

urban hemlock
#

oh

warm moth
#

w14 creates pressure to have more top tier ships, but most players dont approach w14 until they are like at least 1 year in, w14 is actual hell

urban hemlock
warm moth
#

For context I was still using belfast and cleveland (t3) for w13, and still have both sitting in one my my opsi fleets and still cleared arbiter hard, which is the hardest boss in operation siren

One final metric that sorta matters is Events, major events have a normal mode going up to level ~60, and a hard mode going up to level ~105, and a SP stage at ~110

Realistically tiers dont matter much for events since they can be out leveled. I was just bringing this up so you had a reference for what to expect in terms of event combat stages in case you wanted to make sure you were prepped for a certain target (such as two fleets that can handle the last stage of normal)

urban hemlock
#

peepoSHAKE kk

#

wait so u want to have multiple fleets for events right

#

cause of morale issues

#

+i was told u get pretty much get unlimited oil

warm moth
#

If you have morale issues you will want multiple fleets, "unlimited oil" depends on what they are doing with the oil caps this time, We havent had a major full event since they were added

#

the oil cap stage from last event was level 80 for reference, since normal stops at 60 we have no idea if oil caps will be a hard only thing

#

the oilcap however was just totally busted good, only 20 oil to run whatever damn mob fleet you want

urban hemlock
warm moth
#

each stage clear was only 140 oil (10 entry, 20x5 mobs, 30x1 boss)

#

so everyone just farmed the hell out it

warm moth
urban hemlock
#

kk

warm moth
#

Also events dont have any sort of commander level locks, so the event will fix that issue for a while if you play event maps a lot

warm moth
urban hemlock
#

yea trying to build one now

warm moth
#

For a split fleet just take a 3:3 fleet and make it a 1:2 and 2:1 fleet. not 100% optimal, but it keeps things simple in terms of level balancing

warm moth
# urban hemlock yea trying to build one now

the 100% optimal strat is totally dependent on your current levels and the stage levels a single overleveled front and backliner can clear things like 3-2 and 3-4 easy

This tactic has upsides and downsides

its not the most efficient in terms of exp/oil

it is effiecient in terms of plates/oil

its equally efficient in cmdexp/oil as long as youre in level range

it is efficient in terms of gear parts/ oil

I dont like suggesting that any farming idea is wrong as long as its based on a reasonable educated choice. Individual experience (lucky crate pulls, lucky gahca pulls, starting mid event, etc) greatly shape what the "best" method is

warm moth
warm moth
urban hemlock
#

yea ablobsweats just watching videos atm on farming fleets

warm moth
#

just be warned that some are old, its no longer the farming meta to use hyperspecialized farming units since its now considered better to funnel what exp you do get into units that will help you push higher stages

warm moth
urban hemlock
#

isnt it really cheap though if i have a lot of time

warm moth
#

I asusme you have literally 0 oil right now?

urban hemlock
#

like 400 yea lol

warm moth
#

Im trying to think of how high you can farm with just nelson/portland (which should be sorta cheap?)

#

Suggested super early farming for lower level ships if oil starved and wanting to grind.

2-1 drops hydraulic steering gear, which is a solid transitional EVA aux for Portland

2-3 drops fire extinguishers, which are actually useful later on at w10, farming a few wouldnt hurt

3-2 drops helldivers, which are just really good divebombers, Saratoga will want two if she doesnt already have them

3-4 toolbox

These stages should be clearable with low limit break units that you actually intend to use down the line.

downside is that this will still cost like 15 oil per fight... which is still probably suboptimal to you

warm moth
#

thatll still last less than an hour of farming though

#

do you have exp books remaining?

warm moth
urban hemlock
#

monkoz i think i have a team setup, didnt realize how op helena is for boss fights

warm moth
#

your helena is going to feel OP just from her raw level advantage, but yes, her radar scan skill lines up with airstrike and BB fire timings generally, so she adds a lot of damage from that

#

ugh.. is the most optimal way to do this really 2-1 and 2-3 commission farming with a lvl 30+ DD and any backliner?

urban hemlock
#

worry oh i already have a team for 2-1

#

found a video for it

#

just needed a high lvl vanguard

warm moth
#

you can just toss in a lvl 30+ GOOD vangaurd and its fine, itll use a little more oil but its better to have the shit exp go to a good ship then dump it into paperweight

#

instead of doing ranger+cassin/downes memes

These methods are still greatly advised against, 2-1 perma spam used to be "good" because you got some oil back, but then they axed the oil returns and gave us 4k oil a week instead so idiots would stop playing 2-1 for 60 hours a week

urban hemlock
#

yea that was wat i was looking at

#

isnt it still the most gold-efficent thing though

#

for gold/oil

warm moth
#

no, w11+ now shits on it in terms of gold

#

12-4 gives 2000+ per run, while being oil capped such that a full run is only like 325 oil

warm moth
# urban hemlock yea that was wat i was looking at

w2 can be comfortably be done with any 1:1 hot garbage you want, 3-4 starts asking you to bring either a 1:1 of mlb ships, or more weaker ships, its harder to keep cost down

You can reasonably get 3-4 down to ~20 oil a fight for 4 fights while still using ships you plan to keep later on.. which would still only last 5 stages with 400 oil, but at least you get blue plates instead of near useless grays

I cant realistically tell you what the right thing to do when you have no oil is. the "right" thing is patience and you are trying to find a way to maximize return provided no limit to time.

If you were to use the 4000 oil weekly pack on nothing but 3-4 farming with 20 oil 1:1 fleet of decent ships you want to keep, it would take 200 battles to burn and you would gain 252k exp total across your ships (72k per ship + mvp and flag bonuses calculated)

urban hemlock
#

yea i made my 3-2 team, so just farming that now

#

i really need helldivers

warm moth
#

doing 6-3 for 4000 oil in runs with a 60 oil fleet would net 267k exp total across your ships. so actual exp difference is pretty low after considering mvp and flag bonuses, so as long as you do 3-2 and 3-4 with ships you plan to use its fine
