very few has the word "2x1000lb bombs" like tigercats, this is a must keep.
the bombs represents the damage they deal to ships

cannon/guns on fighter is for AA
torp bomber is simply you picking between parallel torps (torpedo common) or aimed torps (torpedo-sakura)
parallel is more commonly used for mobbing
like barracuda torps right?
aimed is for bossing + you have a slowing skills

and dive bombers? all divebombers are good or how is it there
dive bomber is the simplest
helldiver or bust.
so, if you look at dive bomber bombs
there are like 5 sizes right
100lb 500lb 1k lb 1600 lb 2000 lb
to make it simple
100lb is considered "small bombs"
other 4 are "big bombs"
the only difference on other 4 is slight adjustment on armor mod%
but tl;dr helldiver is the only dive bomber in the game
with 3 big bombs loadout
BTD-1 destroyer for example, only has 2 big bombs
junkers (ju87c purple) has one big bomb and 4 small bombs

ohhh planes have a rly smal priority
818 is like barracuda but slightly less dmg, slightly higher cooldown, and inflicts slow
dont buy the low prio ones
overall the most recommended plane in the core data is just VF-17 PIRATE

but tl;dr
for battleship
NEVER normal.
HE for general use
AP if you fighting medium-heavy bosses (dont use for mobs, the light mod of it is very shit)
for DD guns, HE/normal kinda perform similarly due to the gun design (good reload/pattern, etc.) with HE slightly ahead for heavy
never AP with 2 exceptions
- twin 128 from gear lab
- twin 128 purple for USS battleships aux gun
CL guns, never normal
AP or HE kinda your pick (again, refer to ectl)
CA guns, the only good normal ones are PR3 locked which is cheshire gun and drake gun
HE and AP CA gun follows same rule like BB's
HE for lights, AP for med-heavy + pierce
