u can level the ships u want to use in the current event

since I usually dorm + 10 hr commission most ships to around lvl 80

#

and that's usually good enough to farm C2 easily

i didnt have the luxury of using good ships at the start so I used indiapolis till she was lvl 100 before i got portland

Not really, the 3rd-6th fleet exist so you do not have to swap your ships so often.
