problem is you might not have the average lvl 100+
and maybe the stats

Yeah the comp I used for D1/2 has about 1294 torp
Which is Monarch-Penn-Sartoga;Z23;Helena;Laffey in fleet 1, and Shou, Ryuu, Unicorn; Portland, Javelin, London

I can get 42 more torp on Javelin through Enhance (maybe some more if I finish her retro? I've been trying to get the DD blueprints for it)

It's just those that I've described - I'm trying to figure out the strongest comp that clears the requirement that I can actually field

don't worry about strongest comp for now
try and find a comp that fits the reqs
or gets as close as possible to the reqs

Okay, so Tirpitz and Suruga have torp stats. But they'll pull my level way down

Yeah, that's what I did to find my back lins with torp
So yeah, if I put them in that gets me to 1442 torp, but pulls my level under 100. I can fix that before the end of the event probably, they're like 60 and 70... main problem will be get bulins to LB them

Lesse, I need ot get another 50 or so torp. So I cna get a lot of that from Javelin, so I think 98 of the 100+
Just gotta cram Javelin full of other ships to max her torp

also try and level your existing ships you using 1-2 levels it would help as well to meet the lvl requirement
and yeah you will def have to manual if you are using tirpitz and suruga in a fleet

when you hold the button for it you will see a circle, that's the general direction for the first hit

or id do monarch + london just to get levels on them

I'd do something like 1:1 first in the 2nd fleet to see if that's enough
thinking behind this is: if your 1st fleet has troubles getting through and is lowhp at the bossnode, you can swap to another cheap fleet to finish the run

Yeah I've got Monarch and LaffRetro as my 1:1 and then Penny and London to fill the ship type requirements. I guess I could put a couple more in there until I get it down to Safe difficulty

you can get away with 1:1 in the 2nd fleet even on lethal if the levels are good

Oof, Laffey is taking a beating, I'm not sure if she'll make it all the way through. At about 25% hp after 3 fights

yeah the elites are rough
but should be fine since the enemies past the elites don't really do anything

if she's at the boss and dies there, then just use your 2nd 1:1 fleet

yea, was prob the same issue for me 
that also means you should lower the threat level to 1:1 the map with the laffey fleet
