oh wow
not really sure what you want me to answer on the first one
seeing whether a ship gains a main gun mount or not can only be found in the limit break screen in-game. yes.
else you can check azurlane.koumakan.jp (EN wiki) to see if a ship has multiple gun mounts or not
for farming, zombie ships like cassin and downes is not someone you really use for clearing content
For vanguard you normally want a tank, offtank/DPS, and a support, but that can change depending on who you have and the fight
I don't know, I used Phoenix quite a bit for mob clearing
I'm specifically mentioning cassin downes
duca can be another alternative in case you have her since
pheonix, minneapolis, neptune, boise etc. is an exception
im currently on chapter 2
I'd go with Portland, Z23, and whoever your favorite is for the third
Wait, you have London, use her
is it advisable to avoid using DDs as they have torpedo mounts and i dun wan to use torps as i intend to AUTO all the way
not sure how well you can go through the GUI, but go to
Shop -> Supply store -> Swipe to the right on the bottom bar, click on Guild Shop
there you can pick up good elites and rares like
shouhou, portland, pheonix for rares,
helena, cleveland, unicorn, and london for elites
I'm against using london early game until you can retrofit her with more ease
CAs like London need retrofit to be good, so it's best if you hold off for now, especially at chapter 2
portland kind of an exception to this though
Looking for this but no avail
oh found it
DDs aren't bad, it's not like torpedoes don't hit. magnetic torpedoes do exist, which do pretty well in hitting enemies on auto
homing torps yes
there's such thing?! Lol
ah okay i found the guild token items.. and i see they are character selecting ships....
but i shouldnt LB immediately right?
especially for downs and cassie since i might need them for farming later?
Early game, don't worry about oil cost
And if you want to farm with Cassin or Downes later, you'll get A LOT of copies of them
you should max limit break everyone in the end actually
okay so... just go ahead and LB everyone first?
getting them to the highest star gives fleet tech, which can be used to develop PR ships, which are mid-end game ships
well bulins are scarce
OH yea i have very impt thing to ask... i just opened up research and WTF am i suppose to do ?
also, i would like to thank you guys for your time ๐
im curious, how did this channel magically appeared?
new discord update
I made a thread
for now just pick a random ship to develop if you can, and passively gain exp for them
research ships, or PR ships are basically ships you can develop but takes a long time to make them strong
but once they're properly leveled and developed, they're one of the strongest ships in the game
as for the research tab, (i don't know if you unlocked this yet)
they give you weapon blueprints which you can collect multiples of to eventually craft them into weapons you can use
they also give you PR/DR ship blueprints which are used to develop PR/DR ships
uhh, going over ships in the guild shop
Shouhou and Unicorn are healers, you generally only need 1 healer in your team
Cleveland has a solid statline and good skills overall, with good damage
Helena has a skill debuffs enemies so they take more damage, which are useful in stronger bosses, she also has good damage
Portland is a very tanky ship once you fully retrofit/upgrade her
Pheonix is a zombie ship with good damage, so she's a good pick for early content clearing and event stages
i think for the project i already started... but that PR1/2 im not sure what to do for that... so which ship to pick?
ah, doing free researches is good enough for now
the bottom 2 pictures are catch up blueprints, basically since this game has been out for a while now they added a system where you can select a PR ship you want to develop and the game gives you free blueprints to help develop the ships faster
so what are the best way to get guild points to buy from guild ship? I went to spend them away to upgrade oil gold storage, dock storage etc etc
ah okay so... which is good?
all of them are very strong ships, but from PR1, monarch is a very good battleship late game, so it's definitely worth picking to prepare for higher content
but other ships like ibuki, izumo, saint louis, and roon are also very good, neptune is kind of losing relevancy, though
uh, from PR2 all of them are pretty strong, but Seattle/Gascogne are my picks
Seattle is a strong rearguard ship, with good anti air, damage, skills, tankiness
Gascogne is a strong battleship with a barrage which makes clearing mob nodes easier
all of this is kind of ignorable for now
okay i will go do a bit of digging
So in regards to main gun mount + 1... here is what i found from WIKI
the CA guns listed 2... so main gun mount +1 means 3 after LBing?
Technically 2 means... the CA slot have 2 actual guns and they will fire twice per salvo?
as for making your 2 fleets, you can try something like
Pennsylvania, Shouhou or Unicorn, and another backline
Pheonix on the leftmost position, Laffey in the middle, and Cleveland on the rightmost position of the vanguard
Nevada, and then like 2 backlines
Z23 leftmost, Portland in the middle, and Leander rightmost should be good enough for now
it's just a suggestion, so you can try making your own fleets
oh main gun mount, yes
detailed explanation of main gun mount (or mgm)
mgm+0
pew
mgm+1
pew pew
basically, they fire twice instead of once, so generally vanguards with mgm+1 do more damage than ones without
similar logic also applies to battleships and battlecruisers,
if they have mgm+2, then every salvo, the battleship fires 3 volleys
at max limit break, or max stars
The number of that mount they can have
So you can have 1 or 2 CA guns, up to 2 torpedoes preloaded, etc
for guns, 2 means the gun fires twice every reload
for torpedoes, it's the amount of torpedo rounds you can hold onto at a given time
and for anti air guns, it follows the same logic as main guns, 2 on anti air means the anti air gun fires twice
So in this case.... normally it fires 2 times... then once it get MGM after limit breaking... does it means it fires 3 times per reload?
No, max is the second gun mount
before it's second limit break, it'll only fire once
the MAX# means the maximum amount after limit breaking fully
basically saves time if you want to quickly check how much gun mounts or whatever a ship has
what is the fastest way to get dorm tokens and Guild tokens?
your major source of dorm coins is commissions
uh, as for guild tokens..
@true stag help
You can get them from dailies and guild operations
so i have to join a guild?
You don't have to, but it's recommended
Like I said, you do get some from dailies and weekly quests, but you get more if you're in a guild
okaayyyyyyyy i think i have all the info i need to progress from now :p
thank you guys so much for the help ๐
You're welcome. If you need anything else, feel from to post
hopefully I was able to help
you typed the most man... u certainly helped a lot..
hmm why is it so hard to find a guide for this game?
oh yea... what about that magnectic torps you mentioned?
https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/533mm_Quadruple_Homing_Torpedo_Mount#Type_3 these things
basically, the torpedoes get attracted to enemy ships
You can get those from boxes, primarily Iron Blood I think
Also, here's a beginner guide: https://slaimuda.github.io/ectl/#/newbguide
oh yea i've been using this... lol... but so many ships he recommended so im confused...
guides usually get outdated within a year or so, and there's a lot of stuff in this game so making one-guide-for-all is pretty hard
ic ic...
btw i feel like putting 3 starter "pokemon" together in a fleet... is that advisable? Javeline, Z23 and laffey
like for pokemon series I also like to accquire that 3 starter pokemon in my team :p
