I'll just leave these here. These two pages and the other (non-endgame) stuff on those two websites are basically all you need. Avoid most YouTubers for gameplay advice, avoid reddit (except for gooning), avoid in-game chat for help

Catch-up (the 300): Plymouth. After you max monarch with coins, switch catch-up to monarch and burn the 300 bps for prototype core
Shipyard: Cheshire, needs a bit more points. If you get 900 points then switch to Plymouth

For the next retrofit you can do either San Diego (partially) or Independence from core shop

Helena retro is just extra stats, lower priority than independence
Unicorn retro is lower priority because you have Perseus
Unicorn will become noticeably better than Perseus in chapter 14 and beyond
