Ship Teams and Equipments

@sinful pelican hey man thanks for the help. A question also though, you mentioned that you wanna see what units I can borrow from guild, but I feel that I rather just build my own ship with the proper equipment. Or unless borrowing ship from a guild makes the boss fight 7 vs 1 instead?

Example for my IJN team for now, these ships are what I usually run on most or if not all events, even guild boss

I was planning to swap out Nagato for Amagi(CV) too

Firstly if you care about performance you should drop the idea of faction fleets entirely. There are no optimal teams that use only one faction in the fleet.

Second, post photos of your dock. Sort by main fleet and level, and vanguard and level. We don't know what you have to work with.

Third it would be helpful to see gear on your current ships so we can see whether you understand gearing or not and need to go over that too.

well if u dont want to borrow units that is fine

not like it matters for guild boss

as long as u kill it twice per month as a guild u are getting all rewards

for your units if u want to change the team show me what u have
u might have better options

this team isnt bad but it could be better but u have to show me what u have

and u need to gear them well for the boss

if u use bad gear u wont get 301 pts

one thing usually for bosses when using CV like shinano u want to have someone to FREEZE the boss
it is usually easier to just run 3 BB unless u have those options that help freeze the boss
without freeze CV will miss most their dmg

so show me your top level units lets see what we are working with

anyway if u are not free just use sth like this for the gear
like I said it is an ok fleet but far from ideal

Running musashi shinano amagi (CV) might be better tbh

I forgot if boss moves but if it doesnt then using amagi and shinano without freeze should be fine

Actually your comment about dropping the idea of faction fleet is a nudge I needed to really stop doing it 😅

Main Fleet

this was my previous build for Shinano, with Suisei +10 for dive bomber (but now I've upgraded it to Suisei Model 12A, but I have also already changed it to Tensai). At that time I didn't know how to build CVs so I just put whatever suits them or if the plane is from the same faction

but for Saiun Kai, is there really a huge difference if I place it at the Torpedo Bomber slot as compared to your guide which is in the Aircraft slot?

Not huge difference

There is 5 converging TBs and u can use them interchangebly

Slot 3 is strongest so u want best plane there
But sometimes u cant cuz of timing
But in your example she is the only CV
We cant really sync her to anyone anyway

U can do lion musashi alsace
Or shinano amagi cv implacable

Both should one shot the boss

CV should be synced

yeah guild boss is a good start and just better understanding on how to have good teams

i'll be avoiding doing same faction teams

in general for campaign u have mob fleet and boss fleet

generally u run 1 BB in flag 2 CV

vanguard can be any hull as long as they are good and do a few things

mainly u want 1 tank

and the other 2 can be support or dps

some ships can do both support and dps like z52 which means they are very good in campaign

for boss fleet in campaign it is the same

for boss fleet outside campaign usually u just go full damage
and most of the time especially early in the game u either run 3 BB or 3 CV

but later when u have more options u can also do mixed fleets

for your dock
lion musashi alsace is really good vs guild boss
i didnt notice amagi was not MLB so u cant use her tbh

New Jersey, Saratoga and Yorktown 2 for main
Guam, Laffey and San Diego for vang

I do plan to start building and mlb amagi also
