There's only two ships I refuse to stop using and those are charybdis and Le hardi

Take... i think Hood and Unicorn for Mob. Then a tank... im unsure wich one. And fill the rest with who you like. Charybdis and le Hardi if you like

the problem with using Le Hardi and Charybdis is you're holding up 2 leveling slots for your vanguards

have you considered just leveling stuff first then go back to using them

9-1 is the best leveling spot before 11-1
if you're not LBing because you're short on coins then you'll need to do some grinding for it anyway

Helena is honestly not a serious priority at this point

Ok, onto another thing I wanted to know about, Mary Celeste? Is she in a build pool or was she only available during an event I've missed?

Mary Celeste is a Tempesta-Ship and was from an Event you missed

she "should" be back soon, around halloween

she is a Sailing Frigate and uses a Submarine-Slot

fair. I hope she will be back soon. The Tempesta-Ships are a bit niche but reasonably good for what they do. And quite unique in AL

well. With good gear and lvl-advantage most ships will break most content. The truly high end-content will need more dedicated ships and all, yes. But for the most part, events and all, your favs should be good to go

Yes... gear, is rather daunting, especially with multiple dissenting opinions and varying opinions

yes ^^ but see it like this. AL is a marathon and not a sprint. You can, literally, not buy most content with real money. So no need to hurry. gear-options will come to you in time. Crates and events and at some point OpSi will give gear over time. To some point more then you need
