i would unironically swap nagato in for the boss fleet. you're buffing haku. shinano and unzen, i am sure it can and would work
plus it'll feel good to use an oath for the clear
kay ty, and what about helena
everything else you have is not even MLB or way underlevel
and not exactly good either for the most part
man this is ass
how much OpSi have you done?
because if it's not much then I'd reccomend taking a month or 2 to prep
Mob: Raffaello, Unicorn, Saratoga, Laffey 2, Kitakaze, San Diego retrofit
Boss: [???], Shinano, Hakuryu, Guam, Unzen, Jeanne d' Arc
ideally I'd want FDG in the boss fleet
you don't even have any of the good SR BBs to take her place

or you could use nagato and do it with style
well you want those regardless yeah...
i wouldn't call it "cheese" but it would definitely help
no
you need a pair of 155 kais more
gear should look something like that
well the resources don't really conflict
this one right
you may be able to get everything

also this will help

Second part of the Chapter 14 guide, going over map threats, recommendations, and a map walkthrough.
also don't forget the wyvern shortcut to craft
using the core data shop to get the firebrand so you save up on electronics
don't see it mentioned much nowadays so i shudder that some people might be doing it the expensive way
the AA guns? you don't need to deliberately farm for them, it's not that important. not with your level of AA ships especially
you can use different/worse and it will still work
the planes in W14 are not directly very damaging, the main concern is if they do fly by they will increase main fleet detection, so you still prefer shooting them down. i do not think this will be much of an issue for you however
laff needs one USS gear for her special extra AA gun, so keep that in mind
ohhh
sextuple/roomba go on guam/laffey/sandy, rest can fill with bofors and you'll be fine. main fleets STAAG or hazemeyer
you might have to give laffey a bofors to fulfill her USS gear requirement though
that DD gun is kind of ass
well it's probably not gonna make a huge difference
that would be adequate
though if that's your best DD gun you may want to put it on sandy instead, as her guns are better
ic, but now laffey is higher level, i prolly can get sandy to 110 or sth
so i should f6f hellcat follow rascal or f4u

i should have said it when i saw the +12 STAAG to begin with anyways...
gold plates are a very scarce and valuable resource so you really need to optimize their use
you shouldn't upgrade stuff past +10 without having a very clear reason to do so
information that would come with knowledge of the game or advice from others
so what generally i want to upgrade to 13, the ur plane?
nope
so how to explain this quickly and efficiently...
well the gist of it is that the main priority gear to +13 are those that would see permanent/constant use in bossing content like META showdown, opsi, challenge mode and EX
particularly the guns and planes that go on your main fleet
as your main fleet deals the brunt of the damage
when you upgrade a gun or plane to +13 you are increasing its damage by 18%
or torp for that matter, also
the gear that you use in these bosses is different from the gear that you typically use in campaign
for example, converging torpedo bombers and rocket fighters see a lot of use in bossing content, but they see a lot less use in campaign
those are the kinds of gears people are looking to +13 typically
because we always have a META boss going on also
campaign is a bit more of a "one and done" thing

for auxilliary gear it is a bit different
they don't "deal damage" since they are not an armament
so all you get are the flat stat ups
it is therefore usually considered more acceptable to not take gear individually to +13 one by one and to instead spread out the plates a bit more between the gear, so if you have a bunch of +12 instead of a few +13, that's fine, since it's just flat stat ups
on the main fleet these would be the gold catapults and the radars/shells that you are using
for torps people usually just have a few +13 gold quad mags since they are always good so to speak and torp plates are not in as high of demand
for AA guns, the +13 targets are typically roomba, sextuple, and the two rainbow AA. though one of the rainbow AA is considerably more worth to make than the other at the present
this is because they have high alpha damage and the way AA damage and reload is calculated is by adding/multiplying the damage of each mount on each ship and averaging the reload of every mount on every ship
so your high AA ships like sandy/guam would be the targets for a +13 sextuple, roomba, or rainbow AA
well that's the gist of it

also to keep in mind...
is that it costs 3 times more to +13 a rainbow equip than a gold equip
so plates should be planned accordingly
now going back to the gears to be used
you have some corsairs past +10
and a flapjack
these are largely campaign only planes so it was a bad choice to do that so to speak
but at least they are solid planes to use in your fleets right now
campaign favours bombs and parallel torps more than converging torps and rockets
since there are multiple enemies
you can use those, and if you still need more, then you can use hellcats, seafangs or reppuus, it really does not make much of a difference for W14 these planes are relatively equal to eachother
ty
wyvern is very useful for campaign and such. but since it is a campaign only gear, and it is a rainbow equip also, it is generally not recommended to +13 it
so you should have some, but just don't upgrade them past +10
the other thing is also that plane plates in general are in very very high demand
this is because each carrier equips 3 planes, which can differ between armor types also
so you need 3 different armament at +13 to extract the most of your carrier, but your battleships only have one gun
gun plates are still needed though, and you would certainly come to need more if you want to +13 any vanguard guns, though that is a lesser priority
kay, so now ima focusing on opsi to farm gears and such, maybe get fdg too
mhm, yeah just stay on top of opsi
pick up your dailies without letting 'em overcap, same on your AP
towards the end of the month, burn all the spare AP you have on C3 zones
stop for akashis and buy more AP from her, continue until you expended all
do i spend oil on opsi
then for a little extra, stay inside opsi when the month rolls around, and you get to pick up an extra set of daily missions for absolutely free. clear those dailies, leave opsi, reenter, and do the monthly thing all over again
not unless you feel like you have to for some reason
you shouldn't need to if you do things the right way
also, why use the high standard control instead of the super heavy shell
there are two reasons for this
the first reason is because radars provide much wanted accuracy stat to BBs, which have relatively low base accuracy. more accuracy = more hits = more damage. the second reason is because it speeds up your first salvo reload by 15%, this is good because it helps put out much needed damage faster and it also desyncs your battleship's damage from your carriers, who tend to launch their planes more around the 20 second mark give or take.
it is good for your main fleet to attack at different points in campaign since it allows for constant high damage onto the field, instead of there being long periods where all the damage enemies can take is from your vanguard, which tends to deal less damage. those enemies staying out for longer is more dangerous to both your vanguard and your main fleet
if your damage ends up all synced, then you might end up throwing all that damage at a few enemies and clear them yes, but you might overkill those enemies and "waste" a lot of damage
then the new enemies come and stay unpunished for a long period of time again
this is in contrast to boss fights, where it is usually beneficial to pile all your damage at specific points
whether it is to maximize buffs, syncing with a slow or freeze, or to get around boss gimmicks. occasionally there are bosses that require more desyncing but this is more on the rare side
