#New player looking for Fleet and Ship build advice
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
you have read the newbie guide yes?
Yes i have
Then you should only be using 1 fleet
Not swapping out stuff
If you're needing to swap out stuff cos low morale
Is to take a break
+dorm
Didn't realize I could purchase the four ships from guild immediately, makes this a lot easier
You should be running Saratoga over Nevada tbh
saratoga murder suspect
Who usually replaces Pennsylvania, is it a shop/lab ship or pull dependant
Stuff like nelson or hood or Tirpitz
It is shop or pull dependent yes
I picked up hood, talking to the main channel earlier. Ty
Looking for a gear check up. Following the guide the best I can. Haven't checked in a few days though
Honestly, not too bad imo. But you need to understand the difference between blue and purple are kind of huge (for the same gear).
I can see for example a blue repair kit on Z23 when you have an unused purple repair kit laying around
I believe I had it on hood while see was leveling, I'll swap it
Hood? I forgot if the chapters below 8 represented any dangers to the main fleet but generally vanguard, especially DDs gets absolute priority for HP gears
Slap the gold Quad Bofors on someone, probably Helena.
And stick that toolbox you’re taking off Z23 and stick it on Helena too.
DD loves hp aux, cos they have low hp pool but high eva. CA/CL more like eva instead of hp. And so on. Back lines like BBs/CVs more like dps
Unicorn have fuel aux. But she no needs in that. You have one more catapult in depot. That will be better
I don't think that Helena need antisub aux. But if you wish Hadgehog is more unique and better vs subs
More or less just there
I gave my main all toolboxes and fire ext
I'll update
Does main or rear usually do better with AA?
Main no need toolkits
Depends on ships. But usually you use different aa guns for main and vanguard
For the beginning start with vanguard
Keep quad Bofors on main then
Portland is vanguard
Oh I got it backwards, main is in the rear
For Hood aux slot use auto reloaded and fire control. Best options for BBs aux slot is FP and Hit stats gears
You have purple auto loader and blue fire control
Ok done
Remember main damage in fights mostly comes from back line ships. Front line is your vanguard tanks and debuffers. Some ships can deal significant damage in front line but you don't have them yet

For understanding what gears ar better
Use 533mm magnetic torps if you use autoplay
All I use haha
Switch after this map. I figured magnetic were better but the ones I have weren't on the list
They have less dps and higher rld but they are homing in automod
Should I use extra carrier retrofit on Helena? I have one mission left to start hard beginner and then I'll have Enterprise
Once the missions are done that is. Getting equipment cashes from dailies is currently holding me back
I'm not sure what you mean. But as for retrofit list: Unicorn first, Saratoga will be second until you'll get something better. And Helena should be retrofitted too
You can't focused on them all. But Uni shines more after refit
Especially you can done refit already. I thought you have ships lower than 80 lvl.
Unicorn is on the last node, I was told to do Portland next but Saratoga is more important?
Portland’s cheap, she won’t take long. Do her first.
I have to +8 20 things for noob missions. How much here is safe to do so on?
also maybe 1 anti-torp bulge, it good for some maps later on because lots of enemies have hard hitting torps
Damm, that leaves a lot
you can also get more copies of toolkits and helldivers to preemptive upgrade them
same with the two torps
Just wondering what my 2nd fleet is going to look like. ST Louis still need 2 blueprint missions and 345 blue prints.
Fleet in pic is what I pieces together with the units I have and the fleet building guide
