so for gear specifically the devs when they make the DRs of the series coinable they pretty much remove its appearance when u select a higher focus
so for example if u select focus v u will never see and i ii iii iv anymore

but they do 2 different types of gear catchup

since u won't be getting gear anymore from them

for example in the pr iv the gear u get are tenrai for the ur and bf109 90mm aa and saiun kai

as for the tenrai u can get 1 from the protocore shop and the rest u have to get from the gear lab

the rest have 2 ways
buying a monthly 20 prints or gear lab

and i think saiun kai is extremely expensive and currently doesn't have any direct replacement to it

other things to consider when choosing the vanguards is aa capabilities to keep the concealment gauge as low as possible by shooting down the planes

a strong buff called air raid assistance aka ara

usually from kazagumo or hammann II

there are other jp ships that have it too but they are a lot weaker
