Im not an expert but W13 can be done with heavy AA. Nowadays you have acess to a whole bunch of UR ships so im pretty sure building an UR fleet works.

Mob fleet should be fine if you use a CA/CB, CL, CL. AA and simple damage worked fine back in my day

But honestly your fleet should be able to clear w13 now.

If you take a lot of damage, try to figure out what did it. If its planes, bring more AA. If its BB shells, try to time your airstrikes better (or kill them before they can shoot).

It might feel like cheating, but if you lose a lot of health in battle to something unexpected, you can always leave the battle through the pause menu. You will not lose any oil if you do this. This allows you to fight the same battle again with the health you had when you started it the first time.

If your vanguard dies to quickly its probably because we used 2 low health CL's. If this becomes annoying you can always swap out Isuzu for another CL with decent AA, health and damage.

cats spawn with like 2-3 base traits/skills. If you level them you get skill points allowing you to gamble and get even more skills. If you are lucky you get all the skills you could possibly want.

If you get bad skills you can reset them for about 20k coin daily. The base traits stay, but the skill points can be used to gamble again.
