when ship is mlb they unlock augment slot

some ship have unique augment that improve their skills and provide more stats than normal

e.g. saratoga, javelin, eugen

its worth noting not all are worth making though

the idea is that you dont make them for ship youre gonna replace very quickly cuz its like 21k coin and a lot of augment exp to make one
