for bossing the wyvern is very bad since it launches parallel torpedoes

the reason also why i put barracuda on enty and yk2 for ur fleet even though it is a poverty parallel torpedo is because u don't have a single converging torpedo plane

that is why generally what u want to do is to postpone the flapjack crafting and go to the iron blood section where u find the junkar 87

usually this game mode is very easy even for new players

the reason is that most maps let u exit it without any form of reset

u can go to the port full heal there with ~1k opsi coins and go back

the only 2 maps in which u can't do this and have to complete the challenge with at most 4 fleets are
the abyssals and the hard arbiters

for a new player the only challenging ones are C6 abyssals and the harbiter

i even heard new players clearing some C6 abyssals

as far as the story stages go i think most likely u can move to the port and heal there without using any items
