TLDR is, the cap the oil you spend on fleets in maps that have them in turn making them significantly more efficient to farm than maps without them
maps in the main campaign only get oil caps starting in Chapter 9 so you wanna get there asap and eventually W12
which is overall one of the best farming spots in the game period
so that's why you wanna progress the main campaign

your main goal right now should be getting your fleet up to a point where you can beat HT2 of the event

higher rarity doesn't mean better for anything in AL including gear

during events only do maximum of 3 event builds per day if there are good ships in the event pool
UR ships are expensive and can take a long time to max limit break, and are not worth using if they are not max limit break

move all of your high level ships to the 2nd fleet and just use that
any ships you use for the first fleet will contribute nothing because they're all low level and not max limit broken and drag down your average level

Hood will probably get used later on when you develop 2 fleets
