My daily routine is: clear hard mode, clear exercises, clear daily challenges, clear MOB boss, cat, dorm, finish daily quests, and then open chests (hoping that I can find useful gears from there)

I’m looking for guidance how to improve my fleet, what else should I do besides the thing I just listed. War archives, operational siren? I’m slightly overwhelmed

operation siren and research both give access to very important gear
and research also gives access to ships
if it's useful to you, here's my workflow, which I do while doing something else at the same time to play the game:

Oh if you are talking about that type of research: yes, I always try to do as much as possible without spending coins

-log in, daily light build if outside event
-daily raids, then hard modex3 (highest unlocked), free cat box and exp
-do my exercises (you're a beginner, just try your best, losing is fine, many players ignore pvp)
-finish my daily operation siren missions
-set my phone there for auto repeat on w12-13 (w10 in your case) for grinding coin and exp
-use up my operation siren action points (AP) in between as I'm recovering morale
i actually don't really look at my screen for the vast majority of my gameplay
just work on something else while it runs on my phone
in your case, you're trying to progress.
Most players (vast majority) just get to w12 then stay there for a long time to grind
you can even stay there forever, it's the ideal place to grind random ships with lv1 skills

Thanks, btw do you what’s the most efficient way to earn this thing? I want to unlock META ships but just playing stages in Operational Siren seems inefficient. I played 2 stages without finding any.

oh those... coordinates are obtained from two things pretty much: treasure chests (those floating chests in opsi) and daily missions
if you're short on time for instance, pop into a zone in opsi and go directly for the treasure chests
those are what give the coordinates. and do the daily missions
higher level zones give more coordinates per treasure chest

continue leveling the fleet #1 you're currently using (finish off javelin's retrofit)
reno is kind of meh but she's lv100 so keep her for now. graf zeppelin is highly questionable, try to swap out these two later.
upgrade helena & shinano. saratoga with her augment is also great.
I don't really see much else that's notworthy though

by the way, if you're struggling in w10;
they have suicide ships and also nasty bbs that will shoot your backline
you need good secondary guns on your bbs, and possibly flame extinguishers (blue auxiliary gear)

I use graf zeppelin for my second fleet, but I think I'll replace her with sagatora later
Is Z46 worth it? I'll retrofit san diago the latest, considering that she requires the most materials

research wise... see if you can unlock friedrich der grosse soon
and if you can, consider trying to unlock anchorage in series 4 of research

z46 is fine, pretty good dd. I see you've already mlb'd her, a costly choice that would not normally be recommended, but oh well if you have already you can continue using her
also by the way, always check the medal shop, maybe there's some useful ships there to purchase

go down a little bit, and you'll find a section on specifically iron blood faction for fdg because she's so often recommended
but basically, acquire IB (iron blood) ships, mlb them to get points. (lv120 also gives some, but takes too long for you)
usual tip: farm divergent chessboard
it's an event with event maps you can find in war archives
it has a lot of IB ship drops
