Looking for some help on building proper fleets with my dock. I am almost finished researching Kersarge, I just need to two Combat datas left which always take me a while. If possible I would like to know reasoning behind choices, so I can understand how it is done. Thank you

events are low difficulty u can run pretty much everything with proper gear and lvls, unless its EX and then it depends on gimmicks
story/campaign also differs and needs proper adaption to each world
general fleets work up to w12 and events due to mostly bruteforcing it with lvls

and proper fleets are also only used when pushing, when u are farming you should use ships that you want to lvl

ur leveling strategy is kinda not clear 
how do u do it usually ?
u have almost all ur ships around lvl 105 on avg
and they are like 100 of them

you basically just use the dorm and XP packs to get them to a point where they don't die and farm W12
also for future, you don't need to clear normal nodes to unlock hard node in events

which is around 100ish in the beginning depending on ur gear and the ship perfomance

Unzen has no gear on right now because I don't beleive I have the proper gear for her.

i meant unzen as in u started at least during the jp anni so it is a good duration to get most of the tech boxes in the past events

refrain from using ships that arent at full stars and dont split limit breaks materials for the very same reason

Gear is another thing that confuses me. How does one know how to properly gear?

i recommend reading sams guide in /equip
and asking in main channel aswell since sometimes its hard to decide on which situation u are in to use that gear without experience

the confusion lies mainly in the multitude of ship hulls but once u learn the generic pieces for each one u should be good to go

azur lane gives u a toolbox and u have to pick the right one for the job

each game has its own mechanics and usually the idle types are more casual / reading free / whale territory compared to the others

that works for most but not all content in AL
once you progress past W12 in the main campaign and start delving into OpSi you'll be forced to start sepecializing

the main idea is to know each type of armor and what weapons work the best against them
but now u just use the poverty gear that u can get from techboxes and gear lab

opsi provides some of the best gear in game through gearlab crafting and is the main income for gold plates which are the enhance mats for enhancements past +10

you should farm event and u can use the 2 fleets i wrote above for opsi aswell
and after ure done with event farming push w12 asap

research ships take alot of time especially new season to be completed and to be usefull
and by completed i mean full stars that means gathering blueprints not only building

Most times I just use that Tier list site. But I feel like if im not sure then its not gonna be helpful.

ECTL gear reccs are fine if you read the descriptions
