damn that view , so beautiful
Wait NJ can’t move on her own?
no
They are forbidden
I believe they have it stuck in place
same with battleship texas
@real sun get in here dummy

boat
@lethal leaf you too
That sucks
Wat?
I was exercising in the gym when I saw the NJ was moved..shared it in history, general and off topic
they are not allowed to use the engines
no one said a thing
pew pew
Think it’s boilers in that case but yeah it sucks
Im at work T -T
Harpoon Pods
man , its just soooooooooo good ❤️
helicopter lol
tbh I always prefered older US battleships hence why I really want to visit the Texas before any other ship in the US
all the WW1 / WW2 stuff in general is so fascinating
just thinking about what tech existed back then 80 / 100 years ago is mind blowing
pre-ww1 battleships were interesting
Older battleships did not half the same AA as the newer ones
back then it was more like : " AA ? , yeah sure put one down here , should be enough"
Mostly it was recon that you had to worry aobut
yeah
Usually, battleships sent out seaplanes to check to see where their shots were hitting
they still did in ww 2
more like, especially in WW2, since the battle ranges just kept increasing
but ye I'd visit the Texas first and the Mikasa next..but after that I am screwed
but common was still around 15.000~ 20.000 yards
i personally will plan from smallest to biggest, and from distance of my location
so number one for me will be Belfast
maybe I could visit the 16inch guns from Battleship Mutsu but they are on the other side of Japan
I did see Belfast back in 2019
GUNFIRE INCOMING !!!!
Enterprise AA lol
for a light cruiser...she big
Wows doesn't do her justice in person she is fucking big
the difference between light/heavy is just armament, has no bearing on the size
anyways, I have to attend class
NJ will be in drydock for 2 months
i couldn't resist , lmao !

Looks like the artists start drawing as the moving process underway.

4,9 knots !
This image couldnt get much more British xd
more* ?
I'm checking Pixiv & Danbooru for new fanart of NJ
huh? who ?
Literally every AL fan who loves NJ
a tracked farm vehicle, nice
Realistically that hair would be a nightmare to manage. Makrs me wonder how she washes it xd
i have long hair, let it grow since covid started
its a bit over shoulder length, and its already a pain in the ass

Currently the IRL New Jersey is being moved to drydock as we speak
It's a regular maintenance
" can she fire her guns"
"Well . . . mechanically the stuff is in good condition . . . "
Drydocking prevents corrosion from saltwater. That could form rust
love the questions hahaha
Just like USS Texas
NJ will be placed next to SS United States
Which in a very sorry state on the hull itself
For an ocean liner
well, its something at least
Most old oceanliners went to Turkiye
To be scrapped
Meanwhile State Trooper & ABC 6 Philly news helicopter still following NJ
Turkey needs the money considering the Lira is on a downward spiral
link please, the one i watched from ABC6 30 mins ago ended
damn ballasting task be ballasting
LMAO
rip uss jfk
The last conventional powered carrier fading away
Sold for a penny
da nj’s
there is a reason why they sell for a penny
should i take my nj plush to pax
is that a question?
Scrapping is very costly for breakers
perhaps
exactly
i shall
I'm thinking on getting a 3rd plush
hell yea
Definitely an American
I have a hat as well I got from Christmas of her 80th anniversary of being commissioned
Yes
East coast?

It's a nice life in Georgia at times
Can't call yourself a Southerner/Georgian if you are from Atlanta
I'm from Houston
Atlanta is not the best place
love me Houston
There are local illegal steel poachers there close to the Java sea
Haguro almost gone because of them. Next to Malacca Strait
Salvagers poses as research ships also the main culprits
Hiding the claws underneath the hull
One ship got detained by Royal Malaysian Navy. A breaker ship from China stealing PoW's guns

hun, ryan posted another video
Another of many I'm sure
Today, Battleship New Jersey survived what may be her first earthquake while on land! The Japanese battlecruiser Amagi, approximately the same size as New Jersey, was wrecked by an earthquake in 1923 but the Black Dragon weathered hers unharmed.
Amagi catching strays
smh
Yeah there was an earthquake here

Was in New Hampshire but you could feel it in ma, apparently
I couldn’t
Ouch.
Except the thing is, the one NJ got us a M4.8
What Amagi got was a M8
Which is approximately 31k times more powerful
Being in central mass, couldn't feel a thing
NJ had a 4.8 magnitude
apprently some ppl felt that in HK when the 7.3 struck Taiwan
Makes you think how something so big can still be so fragile ngl. I bet a m3 is still scary to a ship builder..
amagi is big, but earth is bigger
Real
ngl M8 is captable of tearing like 90% of buildings to the ground, except those are well quake-resistent
not to mention an incomplete ship
and also noticeable that where Amagi was constructing is Tokyo, where the earthquake epicenter is literally next to
but nj on the other hand
Pain
She took the full force
Ig the USN is pretty lucky they didn't have to face an extra carrier on Midway
Bold of you to think that would change much of the outcome
would give an extra headache or maybe cause more damage but probably not enough to sink Enty
bae jersey
got her tub pools on either side
I think Vietnam era NJ is my favorite NJ
looking at the dry dock pictures shows how slim the bow actually is
the answer has two parts
NJ pool party
- Panama canal
- Hull Speed
Longer and narrower ships move faster than wider and shorter ships
But also, NJ couldn't be longer than the Panama Canal
If only the Panama Canal was bigger
Ark Royal is jealous of NJ
Lol

Her skin care is astounding

Go to a clinic that does skincare as good as NJ's drydocking
You can ride on NJ
I mean some people already spent like 7k on one of the flags flown by her

If i had the money
You there
Are you a fellow NJ lover?

I got the black van ready
We stan for NJ
You arnt alone with that many pictures of a single ship......
I will be conducting a heist to steal NJ from the dry dock
Well. The issue at hand is...how the hell you would re-arm her?
Re-arming will be discussed later

now this is a discovery!
Ok. What happened to NJ at the moment?
Welcome to the archive of the Drydocking of IRL New Jersey.
This thread was made to commemorate New Jersey's successful drydocking & maintenance.
oooo
I was there with my Plushie of New Jersey when New Jersey came back to Camden New Jersey after being dry docked.
I literally stay awake around midnight just to watch it live
And I drove down all the way to Camden to see New Jersey come back.
It’s been one year since New Jersey returned to Camden after being dry docked.
been a year since NJ gyatt was exposed to the sea
Been one year eh?
Yes it has.
And our NJ is lazing around in Camden.
Can i put the Cult of Black Dragon link here?
