Hi, I need help before using my resources.
Currently, I'm stuck in Chapter 10-2, and I can't farm in Chapter 6 on hard difficulty because of stat requirements. I've started the Siren's Operation, so I need more fleets.
So I created these fleets, based on ships skills and what I've seen playing the game.
But as a new player, I don't really rely on my fleet idea, so i here to ask help, before use my resources.

Yeah...
First off why aren't you using enterprise
Don't
Guam blue skill
Yudachi not worth it?
First, I don't see Enterprise period in either your proposed mob or boss fleet
Second no
Even if you get her you won't be retrofitting her for a long time
I'm trying to get Ticonderoga, so I use her and Enty in the place of the bunny pair.
Nagato can buff this pair, so I put them
trash ships?
Not worth it mainly
i only use them in commisions
Also start leveling Nelson and Saratoga
I'm farming retro plans for Saratoga.
Also ditch Laffey 2 for now
I'm close to get monarch, i still need nelson?
Will she be dev30
Nelson is overall just better than Monarch
Was that from catch up
so what the best i can do with the ships that i have?
i can replace nagato by nelson, bunny pair by saratoga and enty?
Mob: Hood, Unicorn, Saratoga, Portland, Z23, [filler]
Boss: Nelson retro, Enterprise, [filler], Guam, Helena, [filler]
So I can use anyone in filler?
Kinda
It's moreso to indicate what you're missing for 2 solid fleets
So work on raising the ships you do have for now that aren't leveled
good Cls?
And see what ships you get in the mean time
I get it, where I can learn how to build a solid fleet with good ships?
There is a guide of something like that?
Thank you very much for the help
That would be a good place to start
thanks
Another thing, how can I know if a ship, worth it, for investment?
That's a bit tricky
But basically a ship is worth investing in if it won't get replaced in the near future, fills a whole/missing role in your current fleet, and isn't absurdly costly
Well
They're a few months off at least
And that's mentioning if you'll have the UR bullins to MLB them
i have one, and i can buy another 2
One you get or have enough for one more MLB UvH then
in boss fleet, main filler there's no problem in use Ulrich or Gascone u ?
I wouldn't invest Gold Bullins in Gascogne muse
i plain to get Shinano first, in the pity
better use Ulrich
As I see with Guam, UR ships don't have a level limit
so i use her before get shinano or Ticon
Who comes first
Okay so level caps are by far in a way not the most important things ships get from limit breaks
Including URs
Ships gain a lot of stats from limit breaks as well as main gun, torp, and/or planes
So a 3 star Shinano is genuinely worse than a MLB common CVL
Good to know, it's really best to save it for Shinano.
after all Ulrich is at least a temporary filler
That applies pretty much to all ships by the way
by the guide you passed, i find a link to another,
is seem to have a tier list
From what you told me about a ship being worth it, if I based myself on this tier list, focusing on ships from the shipyard, and the ex, t0 ships, they would be what I would use most of the game, right?
Well no
Not completely anyway
Sirius is the most used CV buffer in OpSi for an example
And she's only T2
This is more complicated than it seems
Below the tier 0 list, it would be interesting to look at the skills, and if it is good like Sirius, should we invest then?
Kinda
depends on what youre going for
You have to keep in mind ECTL's tiring criteria
for example if building boss fleet sirius is decent since she buffs cvs but for mobbing its less effective than other ships whose skills are based offensively
They tier around auto performance in the main campaign solo(not in a specific comp)
So things are gonna change when you move to other content
reverse thing as well, kazagumo is tier 1 but you dont want to use her in mobbing since she is somewhat squishy and even in late campaign she isnt good at all since she just dies despite her cv buffing being one of the best in the game
just because a skill looks good doesn't mean it is, i would say it depends on the stats of the ship itself alongside the effect of the skill lol
For anything that's not w15 which most DDs die in anyway
suchiguma video and from own experience my kazagumo dies relatively fast in later campaign mode during clears
altho for general bosses like abyssals and harbiter she fares somewhat okay
What video
tldr tier list doesn't dictate ship effectiveness in a fleetbuilding perspective
15-4 tierlist
I literally said outside W15
(from my own experience)
W14 and W15 are very much compostional based anyway
definitely
haven't reviewed gear yet though that might be an issue
unless its literally just the stat req
Gear is the single most important thing
Basically, even a Tier N ship can still be good, it all depends on the context of where it will be used?
Do I just need to take a look at the content I'm going to do?
really does depend on stage of the game to be fair
for example its very unlikely you can clear late campaign modes with only common ships
Don't discount a ship because of their rarity or tiering
Fleets are made around content so yes
but if you build fleet right you can get by with ships that are less effective overall
although i think almost anything goes before w12 (?)
Let's see if I understand, for example if I use Queen Elizabeth, as long as I use for example George V, and a Formidable, and the entire vanguard of HMS, would it be a good fleet for a boss?
even if they are below tier 1
gV and formidable are fine not sure if QE is good though
also depends on your hms vanguard as well
for example for heavy boss if you had aurora in vanguard it wouldnt be very effective since her skills are meant for light
Howe insted of QE
that is quite good yes
although not sure if george 5 should be in full HMS fleet with her special augment,
No
That's just falling into the trap of building a faction fleet
objectively its fine but generally single faction fleets are bad
Typically the buffers that are worth using are vanguards
Since in OpSi boss fleets the vast bulk of your damage is gonna come from your main fleet
In theory it's good, but in practice it's bad.
also probably worth noting for bb backline there are fewer buffer
i believe a tank + helena + plym is the optimal vanguard for bossing
So buffing them is gonna be better than running some dps vanguards
then for cv its tank + sirius + kazagumo
theyre all different faction so its more about synergising skills together
this might change though? with the recent kirov meta there might be dps vanguards being more useful
though buffers are more consistent i think
Howe is not worth the investment?
She is
any tank?
There are exceptions of course
Like I said fleets are built around content
situationaly again
for example in opsi for cross fleet buff i believe people use agir for the actual bb boss fleet while running kronshtadt in another boss fleet
since she has cross buff for accuracy and agir has slowing torps
From what I see, it's an experience we get by playing over time, then.
more so just understanding how skills work i guess
All UR Ships have this?
most have some sort of support skill through cross fleet barrage or buff
not all just most
if i remember correctly
I'm going to study the fleet guide that Hood gave me and the one on the tier list website, and try to learn as much as possible from them about this.
Good to know
can i use the tier list for gearing?
