I would suggest getting yorktown and erebus out of there and putting taihou muse and enterprise in, both considerably better ships
For your second fleet vanguard you definitely need to step it up

yep, he doesn't have a lot of options and she'll be needed in future content so might as well get her levelled and retrofitted as he goes

first priority is mlb and retrofit unicorn, then Helena and then either Z23 or buy Independence and retrofit her
You can get by with one fleet for a few more campaign worlds, might need two depending how far you get into the event

go into the character, like unicorn and on the left there is a retrofit tab at the top where enhance, limit break etc is
unicorn is the best healer in the game, you'll use her at every stage of the game

btw whats the fastest way to retrofit a ship and to limitbreak as well

Fastest would be use exp books to level ships, bullins to limit break and whatever materials are required to retrofit. If you don't have exp books you want to get to a stage with oil cap, so world 9 or D3 of the event and farm it with the unit you're levelling
