generally, best practise is to post dock, sorted by main fleet then vanguard
also, what world are you in? not for opsi?
*sorted by rarity then filtered by main fleet and vanguard ships
Washington server I think
yeah washington
actually I'll rephrase that. what chapter in campaign
it may have been shown before, and apologies for the reading, but this is quite helpful and friendly to newbies (per the name) https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/User:Riceist/NewbieTips
this plus 2x suffolk and 2x norfolk
usually I run this without portland but with laffey
and do a close-range torpedo spam
Alabama, Unicorn, Hyuuga, Portland, Laffey, Helena
just stick to one fleet early game
also no need to manual you can just auto
don't have unicorn I think?
guild shop and medals
you can get her from the guild shop, more info in the newbie guide
Uni isn't in the medal shop rotation
okay!
considering that certain ships are exclsuive to requisition, I take umbrage to that statement
there are none that are exclusive to req anymore
haven't heard the word umbrage in a looong while
actually less than a year, feels long
in an update sometime back the last exclusive ships were added to the shops
she's useless
ouch ok
general rule, purple meta ships are bad
looks like this now
what should I do for research academy?
looks like there's a bunch of medium and small projects
also, should I continue pulling on the current limited banner or save cubes?
just take free ones for now
though set the research focus to PR4 and catchup to Anchorage
stick to your dailies for now
prioritze anchorage. got it
ok, so the once light ship a day thing
there's no free options I think? either spend coins or cubes. Is there something I'm missing?
there are free ones that come up in rotation
right now though you can't afford paid research projects
got it
ok thanks. so just grind and wait till I can farm 3-4 consistently and then check back in right?
farm the highest stage you can do, and push until w9 for oil cap, don't stay any longer than you have to
well yes, but in general the farm at 3-4 is super outdated
checking: portland has a skill that is better with Indianapolis, but we are running portland alone?
oof ok
equipment question: are secondary guns important on your Main ships?
or should I prioritize those for the vanguard ships since they become the main guns
they are definitely good to have, but you are correct in that using them main guns for the other vanguards have higher priority assuming they're good
alright thanks!
Oh, should I look into the events (gridman maps) rather than pushing main map?
Technically yes, because event shop has some good limited stuff
Though if you're currently stuck on w3 in main chapter not sure how easily farm able it is
Though might as well level your ships on event stage and get some event currency rather than none
Yeah I can do 1st area 1st map auto farm, but 2nd area manual control in order to clear so cannot farm
Thanks the catch-up guide will help
Ok, from catch up guide looks like I'm doing it correctly.
Research is empty except for her
Started the process for Saint Louis
Question: buying general / special blueprints is referring to these?
So they will simply add towards the PR4 progress for Plymouth I'm guessing
Which is Royal Navy Tech Points?
-
Saint Louis isn't the highest priority PR1 ship, but you may have issues properly grinding XP for ships like Monarch or Roon given how early in the game you are so it's fine
-
Yes. Generally I don't like using prints from a newer season in older ships, but you are a much newer player so I'd ask in the main channel for other opinions on using Pr6 rainbow general prints for Plymouth rather than taking my word as gospel
In short, to unlock Plymouth you need to accumulate a certain number of Royal Navy tech points by obtaining RN ships, MLBing them, and/or bringing them to lvl 120.
Youll accumulate them just by playing the game normally, though it might take a hot minute. PR ships are by no means a necessity to clear literally the entirety of the available content, there's no need to rush, especially if you've just gotten to W3
Fleet Technology is a system that allows you to gather permanent stat bonuses for maximum limit break ships. Bonuses are earned by each shipgirl in two ways:
Direct stat bonuses.
Faction tech points. These are used to increase faction Tech Level, which also gives stat bonuses, cognitive chips and coin.
Collecting shipgirls and raising them to l...
wow that's a really deep system. Thanks for the guide/links. Would have been lost or have wasted a few months without it
Just picked Akane up, looks like a keeper and replacement for Alabama?
with her augment probably
Alabama may or may not end up still being used for a 2nd fleet
Or drop hyuuga first
both compete for the flagship position and cost SR Bullins
True
so dropping Hyuuga would not be preferable
But I'd prioritize Akane over Alabama right? Looks like it'd be Akane, Unicorn and Hyuuga for now then
For backline
Also picked up yamashiro, blue off flag sheller. Not a hyuuga replacement right?
nope
Are exp packs very rare to come by for F2P users? I think it's a good time to use them on Akane for situations like this?
nah
the main source of them is the Lecture Hall
which you just haven't unlcoked yet
eventually you'll have more than you'll know what to do with if you're active
Thanks !
curious, seems like limit breaking to boost stats is recommended, but is that for endgame? Like I still have copies of Portland now, should I nuke to get the medals or get more stars and stats on her first?
oh! Just picked up a dupe for Akane. immediate limit break?
yep
always limit break if need be
yeah I don't know the "need be" condition
so it's mainly if I get stuck at a stage?
but anyhow, my first 4* 😄
got it. thanks
question on gear: Aviation Oil Tank. I picked up a purple, was going to put it on Unicorn... but it looks like a PVP item?
already have a gold steam catapult and a repair toolkit equipped
not sure if it's useful yet
it is
it's a budget aux for CVs
until you get enough steam catapults
it replaces the toolbox
got it. thanks!
Picked up King George V, from tier lists it doesn't seem to replace Akane
But possibly a keeper as a flag for a mobbing fleet later on?
Like replacing Alabama that is now benched
nope
