I don’t have much gold units still though

Get all URs, rise all tech stats, oath everything, then craft all rainbow gears 5 times each and make em to +13 and then comeback here

Well you can’t do much with what he currently has, I suggested him a fleet so he could progress in story to get the resources

UR ships are extremly powerful ships that are also really rare. Next one should be end of this month

Well. Your main point now is lvls. Dont force story if you cant, just farm exp for shipfus you like (if they are not totally useless, and will not make you quit game later)

A competent fleet is much easier to farm higher stages for exp, that fleet should take him up to oil capped stages , which he will get the gold necessary for UR building

any tips with getting better gear? ive been crafting from lower boxes but ive been getting all blues

Yee. Just rise one fleet, then rise everything else with this fleet

General shop has gold boxes, so does guild shop , which I suggest you find one to have a positive income in guild coins

Well, you will get some ok gear from purple boxes. Then point is not where to get good gears, but first what gears you want and for what purpose

Either way? Use that fleet and rush story as hard as you can

As newbie you will get alot of those thingy (combat data packs iirc, correct me if am wrong). That you can convert into some prototype value and there you can get really powerful BB gun, and nice CA gun(basically strongest CA gun, but who cares about CA guns >.>)

Other powerful gears you will get either from story maps or event maps

Don't rly focus yourself on getting boxes, its mostly just waste of materials. You will get some later, and maybe get some ok DD guns(from USS tech box), and some catas (golden Steam Catapult)

So, it depends on what you are gonna use. Then, after you decided what kind of fleet you are in, try to find them gears
