so the first thing to note is that the boss has a 20% hp shield every 20 seconds. The timings are

1. battle starts at 1:27
2. shield from 1:07 to 1:02
3. shield from 0:47 to 0:42
4. shield from 0:27 to 0:22
5. shield from 0:07 to 0:02

so you want to not use your airstrikes or BB shells during each of those 5 seconds

oh yeah, in the first three battles, summon submarines when the battle has 40 seconds left, so that they don't sink. In the last battle, summon them immediately.
