Update on Avrora (My budgie): I put her cage out in the porch (it's enclosed) every day to let her get some sun and fresh air. Well, I just watched a fucking red tail hawk try to get into the porch and try to kill her.

I'm sure her heart was in the right place, even if it comes off as awkward. When my last cat died in March of 2020, it was both sudden and pretty hard on me. I completely put off the idea of getting a new cat for a long time cause it didn't feel right.

My two babies I have now were some sorta miracle moment, cause I just happened to glance at the local humane society's adoption page and saw they had a bonded pair. Turned out they hadn't even been there a week when I called to see about adopting them, so it was lucky for us all.
