Observant Rage is fine, but honestly you dont really need what Sidestep gives you anyway

Destroy or Be Destroyed isnt terrible, the extra speed is pretty good, especially since all of the french DDs are fast anyway.

Honestly, I would take his special skill. You dont have a reload booster on Marceau, but an extra 3.2 degrees traverse per second is really gonna whip those guns around in case something unexpected pops up on the other side of you

@manic gull this is what I would run, personally. (only run Mortar if its maxed though, until then its not really worth it, so run Look At Me Now until then.) For inspirations, take Sims for more HP (for a T8 DD, thats an extra 3200 HP) and Bergamini to take a little less damage as you get lower in HP. Twist 'n' Track with the special skill should give you an insane turret traverse for those moments when you need to get them around.
For mods I run:

Slot 1: Main Battery Mod. 2 (more traverse )
Slot 2: Propulsion Mod. 2
Slot 3: Concealment System Mod. 1 (I havent experimented with the new Chromium Plated Barrels mod, so idk if its any good, but Ive heard its better on BBs than anything else, so I wouldnt trade conceal for it.)
Slot 4: Main Battery Mod. 3 for better reload, although it does cost 15% traverse speed, but given all the traverse buffs in this build, it shouldnt matter at all. (If you really want range, this is where you want to do it by taking Gun Fire Control System Mod. 2 instead, for 5% more range and 3% better dispersion, but again, range isnt as impotant on DDs as other things.)

Enty is one of the best T7 CVs tbh
Absolutely destroys cruisers with the AP bombs, and some BBs too (mostly the Germans)
The torps are decent, and you can hit DDs with them if youre good enough.
Fairly strong AA suite plus the 10 plane fighter squads gives a hefty amount of anti-air capabilities.
Tough planes that regen pretty quick for true air superiority, just dont continuously fly into heavy AA if you can help it.

all good, but another thing I will warn, is t8 cv plane regen isn't terrible and AA at t8 isn't too bad with a few exceptions...
t10 CVs have a longer regen time and the AA is quite a step up...

TLDR is you haven't been deplaned yet in a T8 CV which can happen, a bit rare, it is almost like 50/50 at t10 if you're not aware of AA bubble size and what not
