FR25 is (imo) just not good
Its an uptiered, worse Guepard without anything that makes Guepard good, and all you get in exchange for losing everything that would make you a good ship is mediocre SAP and an actually usable rear turret angle
Its straight up worse than basically every other T6 destroyer. The T6 Italian TT DD is probably also better than it.

basically you just wanna bow tank everything. since you have no rear guns, there is literally no reason to turn your ship or show any amount of broadside ever. make sure to take Fight Fire with Fire as your legendary skill, as you will probably be getting HE spammed a lot.
If you have AL Colorado, I would recommend taking her for the hybrids over AL NJ, just for the funny reload skill, especially useful for crossfires. If you dont have her though, AL NJ is fine.
Ideally, you want to be near an island, and use said island to block fire from the opposite flank of whichever one youre on. If youre in the middle, find an island that blocks fire from whichever flank you deem most dangerous. As long as you keep your bow pointed towards the enemy, youll probably be fine.
Important note: The Connecticut is built on an NC hull, so you can and probably will be overmatched by 16" guns. However, the extra weight from the larger superstructure drops the citadel lower in the water, which makes it nearly impossible (but not completely) to citadel you from closer than 10km and/or without extreme plunging fire. Also for some reason people like to shoot the superstructure anyway, so youll mostly be safe from AP at least since the front profile of the superstructure is pretty small and very hard to hit at range.
As previously stated, your main concern is HE, fires, torps/floods, and CVs trying to force you out of position. You do have pretty decent AA though so carriers arent a huge problem, especially combined with the fact that the US BBVs maneuverability is actually quite good.

TL;DR, basically dont worry about anything other than HE and torps, use FFWF on your commander, and make sure to stay in good position with islands, and you'll probably be fine. (This is also basically how Nebraska works, although I am fairly certain Nebraska has a better bow and cant be overmatched by 16" guns) Once you get to Delaware, the addition of the 3rd turret makes it a little different.

better to just use AL NJ or AL Collie if you have one of them, and just use secondary mods if you really wanna do secondary stuff
