Only T8 TTs I have are Mogador and Minnesota. Mogador is honestly really fun and I think can still compete in an LT uptier just fine. Minnesota on the other hand is basically just a Kansas thats immune to smaller caliber HE bc its covered in spaced armor, and while Kansas is a very good ship at T7 (dare I say one of the best T7 TT battleships), a slightly upgraded Kansas in an LT uptier isnt going to fair very well. Im also still on the stock grind, which makes it even worse.

What people dont understand about RTS CVs is that (at least if they implement it the way Blitz is) there is really no dodging a CV at all, and also every CV becomes Russian because the whole squad drops at once
Also, there is no deplaning a CV with RTS because (at least since last time I played Blitz) they dont have hangers and actually just have infinite planes to send. No regen times, no real plane losses, just have to wait for the squadron to come back, wait 12-ish seconds to "rearm" or whatever, and then you can send another whole squad out like nothing happened, and you never feel the loss of any planes that actually go down.

I dont know if PC RTS back in those days was the same, but I prefer the way our CVs work currently. (Even though legends and PC CVs are still very much different, especially sicne you guys dont have to deal with a stupid fuel mechanic that makes playing the Russian CVs almost impossible until Pobeda)

In RTS times, there was very little inbetween really brutal AA (DesMo, Mino with the AA skill) and really trash AA (most IJN BBs). Ontop of it all, there was some level of RNG, and islands did not stop AA. The only really interesting part about RTS was the effectiveness of DFAA. If a ship with good AA had it, you could squad wipe CVs before they got into strike distance. If a ship with trash AA had it, you could ruin the accuracy of the squad significantly. WG almost reintroduced this actually nuanced bit of AA interaction with the blinding mechanic

and that essentially makes her a better new mexico with better reload, sigma value, armor, and health

anyone who owns a cali essentially makes half if not 3/4 of tier 5 BBs in legends obsolete

only real competitors would be Dunkerque (mostly bc speed), Hyuga (which has reload booster), and basically anything with 25mm overmatch like the Bayerns or QEs

There's Kamikaze at T4
Tash '39 at T6 (it gets Kamikaze conceal and TRB because balance is a myth)
uhhhh...
You could maybe count Yuudachi at T7 bc it can get 5.0km conceal but you sacrifice so much for that that it basically makes you an easy kill if you do get spotted.
Basically any smoke/radar DD bc that gimmick is inherently broken on its own
Jager isn't broken but its annoying enough to consider
Lushun at T8

I think the strongest DD at T5 is probably Mahan, but I wouldn't consider it broken
It doesnt get conceal mod so a standard gunboat build is gonna leave you with almost 6km conceal

I do enjoy playing the T6 Z-35 just dislike the long torpedo reload

Also enjoy Laffey for a T8 destroyer it’s not bad but it’s almost 3 minute torpedo reload is horrendous

Could probably even beat a Gdansk with minimal effort if it was a decent Lushun player

from what i could tell, its like a Friesland with torpedoes atleast at first glance
